Checking In On Lost

Ok, does anyone understand what's going on?  I'm more confused every episode, even as they tell us more they leave us with more questions.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining.  I'm loving it.  Each episode now gives us those WTF moments.  I just wonder how they're going to tie all this up.  And I can't wait.

Lost Tonight

I know I haven't been keeping up with what's going on this site with LOST.  But I have been watching it.  Last week's episode with Sawyer was very good.  Who would have imagined Sawyer as a cop?  The answers are coming slowly...and I do mean slowly.  But tonight's episode features Richard and promises a lot of answers.

I have one question.  Ok, the numbers refer to Jack, Sawyer and the ones chosen as candidates to replace Jacob.  There were a lot of names on that cave with names.  Did Jacob always keep a group of candidates in every era on hand in case he needed replacing?  Or did it just happen with this group?  Am I missing something here or is this another question that hasn't been answered yet.

Any thoughts if one of the chosen will end up on the island at the end.  And if so, which one?  After all Jack's arguments against the island and his fight to get off wouldn't it be something if he becomes the new defender of the island?

LOST

I know I'm running late with this week's edition of LOST.  I've come to a conclusion that I'm kind of surprised by:  I'm not that interested in Kate.  I've realized that the Kate centered shows are some of my least favorite.  Coming from the high of last week's episode this one was something of a let down.  Reactions?  Thoughts?

LOST

Ok, the first two hours just ended.  If this is the season we start getting some answers than they better get on with it, because I have more questions after tonight than ever before.  Not that I'm complaining, it was a great two hours.

Oh, just to be safe...SPOILERS AHEAD...if you haven't seen the first two episodes yet, don't read anymore.

So now there seem to be two versions of all the characters running through the series.  One making the flight back from Australia and landing in L.A.  It's interesting to see how the characters are meeting up as they land in the land of angels and you have to wonder where all this is going.  There has to be more to this than just a simple alternative reality where they don't crash on the island.  Especially since they seem to be having the characters interact.

I have to admit that I was on the edge of my seat when the show started and Jack was on the plane and he looked over to see Rose.  Than when the plane started to shake I had to think it was all going to happen again.

You know for a mysterious island there sure seems to be a lot of people on it and always new ones popping up. More Others.

Thinking that Jacob, Richard and the mysterious "Monster" that is Locke now all were part of some ship that wrecked on the island a looooong time ago.  Death doesn't seem to slow Jacob down too much.

One thing I ask, no beg if I have to, let's not visit the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle again.  I'm so sick of that, let's move on.  I wish Juliet had lived, but I guess her commitments to her other show precluded that.

Ok, thoughts?  Any ideas on what's going on?  I know I can't wait for next Tuesday.

LOST Returns

Tonight it comes back on.  Get ready for weekly reviews and feel free to drop in and talk about what you think is going on.  I have a lot of faith with the writers of this show, but I can't figure out how they're going to wrap this whole thing up.  But than I guess that's the fun of it.

LOST

I know this is late, but hey, I've been sick. Still not up to a lot of sitting in front of the computer but had to post. While they'll never top the season finale of Jack and Kate at the airport this one was pretty good. I never imagined who was in the crate. Puts a whole new spin on things now, doesn't it? I wasn't as surprised by Juilet's death (if she is dead) or her actions. I kind of thought the show was going to end with the bomb going off. And the actress that plays Juliet has a leading role on a new series next season so I guess she had to go. Though I did like her and Sawyer together. I'm hoping that he doesn't try to go back to Kate now, I am so tired of that Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle.

Any ideas on who Jacob is? Or the mysterious "Loop-Hole" guy? How about Cain and Abel? I know it's a wild guess, but there's a lot more going on here than it looks. Everything that's been happening on that island has been a product of their feud I think.

Any theories?

LOST

Next week is the season finale and we're building up to a good one. It's kind of nice to see Ben confused and not acting like he knows what's going on. The final scene where Locke tells him what his plans for Jacob are was priceless. Ever Richard appears somewhat confused over Locke's actions right now. I have to admit I was surprised when Sayid appeared out of the jungle. I had kind of forgotten about him.

All in all a very good episode.

LOST

Haven't done an update on Lost lately, so here's one. Don't read if you haven't seen Wednesday's show yet.

I was glad to see Farraday back. I like his character. Is he really dead? The Island brought Locke back, but will it bring him back. Actually we don't really see him pronounced dead, so we may see him in a hospital next episode. I actually hope so, like I said, I like him. But we are on the slide to the end, so I'm sure that more characters will die in the next year and 3 episodes.

Only three more episodes left of this season. And than next year is the Final Season! Wow, it doesn't seem that long ago since the show first came on.

Who would have thought Sawyer could put down roots? I think he would have been happy to stay where he was with Juliet for the remainder of their days.

I've missed a few recent episodes so I don't know if they've already covered it, but either way I wasn't too surprised when Widmore revealed himself to be Farraday's Father.

If this was the last season I'd be thinking that they were going to blow up the H bomb, cause the plane not to crash and end with everyone landing in L.A. like nothing ever happened. How would that be for an ending?

I still think Charlie will be back in some form, Hurley keeps lugging that guitar around for some reason.

Three more episodes. What type of cliffhanger can they end on this year? And from what I've read we get to see Jacob in the last episode of this season.

LOST in Rolling Stone

John Locke holds up the two opposing colors of...Image via Wikipedia

In the recent online (and probable new issue) of Rolling Stone is an article about LOST. Go read it here. And make sure to read the comments....seems I wasn't the only one that thought of aliens after this week's episode. But I must have missed the comment about turtles they mention, was that in the show?

LOST

Ok, time to discuss this week's episode of LOST. I admit I liked it better than the last one I saw. My problem I think is that they're making Jack a wimp. Not so much that he didn't want to save Ben, but that he doesn't seem to want to make any decisions. I'm not sure I buy the fact that all the others wanted to save Ben. In their future they all had a pretty serious hate on for Ben. I understand he's only a kid now, but they all know what he grows up to become. It's like not killing a young Hitler if you had the chance, yes he might be a kid, but the world knows what he grows up to be. Especially Sawyer, no matter how much he's changed, would want to save Ben. I also think Sawyer is liking being a member of Dahmra now, he may not want to leave. At least they're answering questions, we know how Ben became an Other now. But why does healing hiim make him bad like Richard suggests it will. It didn't make Locke or Rose bad, did it?

LOST

Any big surprises tonight? Who didn't guess that the kid that brought Sayid his sandwich was Ben? And what will Sayid's purpose be for coming back that was foreshadowed in the coming attractions for next week, but to kill young Ben. I don't know why, but I'm starting to feel underwhelmed by Lost lately. I don't know if I feel like they're just making things too complicated with this latest bit of time travel or what. And I have to say, I'm starting to get tired of the soap opera aspect of Sawyer, Jack, Kate and Juliet. I'm in it for the long haul, but I feel like they're going off track somewhat. I want to start seeing some answers.
