Thursday

Sadie is 2!!!

Sweet, "in-2" Sadie is 2! Her %'s are in the
50th% range for height and weight @almost 26lbs and 34"
Her head is in the 75th%.  I loved that the doctor said that
she could teach a few 3 year old's 3-word sentences.  She is very bright...
she could tell you on her birthday that she was 2!  Her favorite thing
to do is read books and give hugs and "tisses" as well as get into
anything and everything in sight.:) "I do it!" is one of
her favorite phrases.

We went to the park and had pizza for her birthday dinner/entertainment.

Tuesday

Kalli is 5!!!

Kalli turned 5!!! She is such the little princess
who loves to dress up and talk about castles
and everything fairytale so, I decided to give her a Princess
for a day birthday.
The day started off with taking her
shopping for a birthday dress and then getting her
1st pedi...

Then all glammed up with an up-do by Julia
to look like the princess she is...
At the end of getting her do, Miss Julia sprinkled
pixie dust on her head and Kalli asked if she could
fly now.
She thought she looked like Cinderella!

She was super excited to get what she
really wanted, a butterfly Barbie!
Ended the night playing with her new
Barbie in her new pj's.

Saturday

Melissa's Commencement week!!!!

Hike and picnic in Shenandoah National Park
Upper Hawksbill with Shell.  There was a guy at the top
with a huge knife in his pocket and
at that moment I thought, maybe going on a hike
with only girls w/o protection
wasn't the best idea BUT, it was beautiful!  The
girls were troopers!  Shell and I "raced" on the way down while
she carried Kalli in the backpack...fun times!

Grabbed some Homemade ice-cream after Heather
and Boose arrived!  Nice tongue Heath...
Sweet, dear, generous friends made a COMPLETE
Cafe Rio Dinner and Strawberry shortcake for dessert for
all 10 of us!  They didn't leave out anything, down to the straws
for the bottled root-beer...what a treat!

YUMMM!  (BTW, Mom had a horrible flight
experience and got to "sleep" in the Chicago airport
as a 63 year old woman, poor girl.  She teased before 2 flights were cancelled
or delayed that she would see me in 20 hours.  Boy, did she
learn NOT to say that b/c it was more like 30 hrs total
to get here for her. She stayed so positive though.
Glad she finally made it and safely!)
We all headed over to Noah's baseball game Friday night.
This is where he hit a double (I believe). Thanks for the pic
Auntie Heather!  Everyone took turns watching the little
girls at the playground, I was most impressed Boose went
willingly.
 self pic;) day of commencement
The whole gang in front of the BLUE water after the reception.
THANK you for all those who supported me,
physically or in spirit!
Fam pic;) I was leaning forward so, Haleigh with her
heels is towering over me but, w/o out heels she is
still shorter than me for now.
 Big Blue fountain

Heather and Mel (thanks to Heather for reminding me
to wear 3+" heels b/c u only graduate once...for lending them to me and
fixing my hair so I wouldn't look like a triangle.
When we had yummy ribs, cucumber salad, and a beautiful fruit
salad, watch out b/c that girl can move
in the kitchen.  Gotta get tips from her b/c,
Lynda knows I don't have fast moving skills there)

Thanks for all the support and chocolate Matthew dear!
AND, pleasantly surprised with flowers;)
Some of my dedicated fans...thanks for coming!
Rachelle and Mel (Rachelle was an instant help b/c she
jumped right in and took the girls on Wednesday so I could
study for my Cost Accounting Final...got an "A" ...couldn't
have done it w/o her!  She played puzzles, went to the library, and
even went to Sweet Frogs w/ Noah too!)
Jared and Mel (All I have to say is, "Bless your heart and soul"
Boose was so sweet to miss some of his last classes to come support
me. He didn't complain once. Sadie took right to him and
would grab his hand and kiss and hug it on the trips)
Some BEAUTIFUL brisket might I say?
Local BBQ place in Norfolk (pronounced locally, Nah-fuk)
Belmont.  THANK you Mom for a delicious dinner
and for always supporting me through my hi's n lo's and
setting the ultimate example of getting your degree after
having 11 children!
Haleigh was in the potty for the previous pic...
Mom and Mel. We stopped in Williamsburg on the way home at one
of our favorite places, the local candy shop, Wythe's right
Boose? We picked up anything from sea-salt caramels,
to Heath covered chocolate pretzels, colored m&ms,
jelly belly's, Australian licorice, 2" gobstoppers, pecan turtles,
and more! We all spent the night there the night b4 but, had to
rush out early and buy Noah a new outfit b/c he left his
bag at home. I nearly had him wear his pj's to teach him a lesson.
Boose and Heath on their way out...FUN trip!
