Little Brother's Homecoming Adventure

I hated high school dances. My brothers seem to be enjoying it.

My 17 year old brother, Logan, went with his best bud, Ebony. She is also the school cop's daughter. She brought along all her friends from her KC competitive basketball team. So, technically, my brother went with five girls to homecoming. He said it was the most fun he had ever had.

My 16 year old brother, Austin, (the tallest one..go figure), had a different experience. He concluded that girls are far too much drama for their own good. I agree.

Treyson will never date.

Day of Diversity

Some people recently commented on life looking too perfect on blogs - mine included. If ever u start to feel this way, remember the following.

Today, I woke up at 6am to go to a cattle sale. Yes. I spent the whole day in a large field, looking at cows. It's now 9pm and we just got home.

Most boring day of my life.

However, Trevor felt bad for me and took me to sushi and ice cream and I ate my weight (and Treys'...) in food. That made up for it.

Cows and sushi. Story of my life. Diversity is good.

hmm.

Is it really necessary to show THE OFFICE and GREYS on the same night at the SAME time.

Trevor won. I let him. SO I'm watching The Office. Desperate to know what Meredith and McDreamy are doing.

Dear Gonzalez family -

Last night, I went to bed around 10pm - sick with a head cold. I couldn't get to sleep.

Why couldn't I sleep? Because you, our upstairs neighbors in our 4-plex were being very "loud. "

We're talking squeaking/banging bed, screaming....the works. Yep, I heard it all. You can imagine how awkward that was. I tried to cover my ears and sleep, but it didn't help.

Oh, and guess what I woke up to at 7am? Yep, you. Again.

I fully support this aspect of a healthy marriage, but seriously, is it necessary to allow everyone else to hear your sex-capades? There's a reason I don't watch R-rated movies.

CONGRATS!

Congrats to one of my best friends, Becky (Lorenzana) Giles and her hubby, Garrett! They had their perfect baby girl this morning around 2am. Her name is Adeline Mercedes, and she might possibly be Treyson's future wife.

I have a picture on my phone, but I can't get it loaded on here....oh well. Just trust me, she's gorgeous. How could she not be with these parents? (Whom I still claim credit for introducing....)

Today is my mom's birthday. She's pretty much the greatest lady ever. She's the one on the left with her friend, Trish. CAN YOU BELIEVE SHES OLD ENOUGH TO BE A GRANDMA?

Personal Pilates Instructor

Last night, I was getting ready to go to pilates when out of the blue, I started bawling. Trevor asked me what was wrong and I explained that I was too fat to go to Pilates.

Trevor let me cry, then tried to reassure me I was not fat. Then, he told me he was going to be my personal pilates instructor that night. If any of you know Trev, you know how funny this is. He doesn't even know what pilates is.

As my personal instructor led me through various "pilates" moves, I was laughing so hard I was crying.

Then I started really crying because I was so happy.

Then I fell asleep literally 30 seconds later, mid bicycle, in the middle of the living room floor.

I am nuts. My husband is a saint.

Exhaustion

I'm doing some long term subbing while we are in Rexburg.
Dealing with 200 gazillion hormonely driven 7th graders today? Induced Exhaustion...

When Treyson turns 12/13, he is going to go stay with Aunt Emily or Aunt Kali. He loves them.

Weekend

My mom always asks what Trev and I do on the weekend and really, we do nothing. haha. Seriously, we are used to Trev working all day Saturday and Sundays are usually full of sleep and the Cowboys. Now that we have all this blessed free time on the weekend, we sort of didn't know what to do! Lame.

On Saturday, Rexburg was having a little kick-off party "downtown." We got free popcorn and cotton candy and Trev was a happy little boy.


Also, you asked for it. Here's Treyson. 21 Weeks.Sometimes, I feel like one of those 600 lb men on the Montel Williams Show that can't get out of bed, but overall, who can complain once nausea is gone?! I have a ravage appetite and have to pee every 5minutes when working out; hence, next time you see a picture? My butt might be as big as my belly. Don't ever say I don't love my child.

Pearls

Yep. Did it. Told you I would.

It's not the reason you would think. I'll tell u why. My sister in law (who is perhaps the most in-tune person I know), said something to me that was so profound. She mentioned the scripture, "casting your pearls before swine."

A lot of people in the world do things that earn them the label of "swine." Don't worry. I'm not really not thinking of anyone in particular. really. except maybe Obama.

My family are my "pearls." Say what u want about me, but say things about my family? You die.
So here's to you, my friends, for not being swine. :)

I love Alaskans

My brother and sister in Law (Kali and Ryan) now have a private blog! If anyone knows them well, let me know..Maybe I can convince Kali to let people read about their amazing Alaskan adventures!

I still have some hostility towards Alaska for taking my brother.... but seriously, my brother married the perfect girl with the perfect family for him.

Trevor hates Rexburg, Idaho. He misses his cows. I don't mind it here (quote me when it's -25 degree). He hates school. I love teaching. He hates to have free time. I love to actually have him HOME.

Obviously he's trying really hard his last (FINALLY) semester!
