PEEL SESSIONS + AMERICAN NEW SCHOOL OF GRIND

We have an AWESOME post for you today. It will be full of albino animals. I like 'em, their weird looking. Also, got some e-mails and some comments from friends (not you), saying the blog gets updated TOO OFTEN, and that they cannot keep up. So, smaller posts, more pictures of animals. Nah, just this post, I'm in one of my gay moods, so there. Just bare with me, cutetsy whitey freakish animals demand the death of Michael Vick, and with good reason.

"KILL MICHAEL VICK!! ALSO, WOOF!"

Also, see how cute that one is? It can chew your face off. Completely.
I can see on the flagcounter over there, that the most hits have been taken by Yankees. My dear 'Muhricans, welcome to the rest of the world. You are no longer special ever since that NDAA fucked your country sideways. Now youre like an eastern-european country, dare I say it, like Mother Russia herself! On the serious note though, my condoloences, and welcome to the rest of the world, now, when American crusties talk about their sympathy and their solidarity with the Third World, I will be able to believe them.

Those are a bunch of albino hedgehogs, to console American crusties.
Boy, boy, boy, do I have a special post for you guys. All of the Peel Sessions on one release. The first part has the artwork that I scanned at my new job (I know, I know), and this is a 3 CD release, by Earache, dont tell them though, or they will rip my site to shreds, what with all of the old grind and the Wormrot shit up on here too. This has all of the Peel Sessions, and they are some of the best of some of the best bands to fuck around with our many, many genres of fucked up fast music. Has BOTH Napalm Death sessions, one with Barney, and the other with Nick Bullen, Carcass, ENT, Intense Degree, Heresy, Bolt Thrower, Godflesh and Unseen Terror. Not in that order. In this one:

As awesome as that is, there is yet more awesomeness to come. I have been looking at Cellgrafts blog, and it is the case that they are currently recording a new full-length, which I am waiting for like the motherfucking messiah, also, I looked into some of the bands they play live with, which brought em over to the Gainesville Punks blog. Looking at these bands, I had to come ot the realization that there is all of this awesome grindcore in America that I do not know shit about. Shit's embarrasing, son. So I got in depth with these motherfuckers, and I would like to hit you up with some of their shit.

GRIPE-THE FUTURE DOESN'T NEED YOU
Gripe are super PV influenced, sound like a hardcore band for most of the record, many slow mid-tempo parts suitable for headbanging, some 2 step shit on here as well. Nice gruff vocals, sweet high ends, tuned down, but the blast parts are very typically grindcore, spastic and fucked up. This shit is gonna get a lot better as well, I can already tell. Also, cops on segways, man.

These guys are really weird. The best in this batch, in my hunble opinion. More of the PV vein, tons of really fucking slow parts, frantic blastbeats, and tons and tons of noise, feedback, and smaples. Im gonna go out on a limb here and give these guys the best use of the sampler in 2011 award. Shit's awesome.

OPERATION GRINDCORE COMPILATION
Lots of bands, 24 of them, some of them really fucking good, some of them drum machine grind bands, got a few death/grind bands on here, and one or two bands that are shitty metalcore with blastbeats added just so they can dick ride the grindcore monicker. You know who you are, no need to name call, fuck right off. The rest of the bands rule, though. Mostly hardcore with blastbeats, also some obscure, noisy grind bands.

The motherfucker from Cogs And Sprockets, Andrés Wade, has also been busy, killing the grindcore trademark for the rest of us,producing awesome noise induced, straight up grindcore, with nothing but blastbeats, and innovating the genre with new horizons of shortness and brutality, also raweness. I know, stop dick riding, but its difficult.
So this is his bandcamp page, where all the shit that I cannot find can be found.
You know I have posted much of shit in the past, and will continue to do so, unless he decides to do some whack shit. He also got a split with a breakcore band, called White Ninja, and it is really good too. But this is his Black Friday EP, and also, some tracks from 2 comps, that I totally stole from this guys blog. The EP is really fucking good, longer songs and more sloppy than the rest of his shit, but great songs on here, though.

Yes the last two pictures were of an albino peacock. So?

Thats gotta be like the cutest fucking dog ever. I am seriuosly thinking of getting an albino pink nose pitbull, but I hear they dont fare well in project buildings, so I will have to move first.

Lt Dan are an American mincecore band that sound, look and act like fucking Agathocles. This is their split with SMG, whom I continue to love, despite their shit being totally hit or miss, this record is definitely hit, total mince record. For the true cheeseheads out there. Keep that shit mincing hard.

Also, did you realize that 1982 was 30 years ago? 30 years of blastbeats, man. Insanity. If you count that jazz shit, I guess its more like 40. Damn.

SPACE THE FINAL FRONTIER

First gig with Chappa'ai has happened with Wormrot from Singapoure, as well as Maruta from Florida, in fuckin Budapest of course. Also, Youth Violence played, who I have extensively reviewed here, and also, I ahve their demos up here. They are recording new stuff, and are going to be putting some new shit out soon. When it happens, it shall be here first.

So I am extatic, and I am going to be posting some shit that is from outerspace, the place our shit is from. Some noise, some grind, some more ambient type shit. Also, I am going to be posting some death metal as well. Let's get to it, this time, in alphabetical order.

Arizmenda- Within The Vacuum Of Infinity
Spacy, depressing black metal. Th evocals are the highlight of this, plus the incredible atmosphere, this shit sounds raw and nasty, but at the same time spacy, full of reverb, and all that shit. The songs go on for way too long, however. You really don't need to play this shit for 8 minutes, bro. The blastbeats are pretty much constant, although not too fast, but ain't that always the case?

Black Dice
Some more noisecore, because I have not posted that shit in a while. Not just pure noise, except for Semen Of The Sun, there are sort of riffs and shit, super negative music this is, feels creepy, and Semen Of The Sun is the only one that is really spacy and noisy, but its not my favorite, but I've been dying to fuckin post this band for a while. I htink their self title takes the cake, but the rest is fun as well.
Black Dice- Self Title
Black Dice- Lambs Like Fruit
Black Dice- Semen Of The Sun
Black Dice- Verminscum

CSMD/Intumescence/Deche-Charge Split Double 8"
I do not own this, just to let you know, I am not sure even where I got it from. Drop me a line i it's yours. Total noisegrind, CSMD are the best on here, they are a really fucking good grind band, wiht funny shit happening all the time. Deche-Charge are mega primitive on here, and I wanna say a few words about Intumescence. This shit of theirs is not so impressive, although tis solid noisegrind, but sometimes this band absolutely nails it, like their split with Malignant Tumour, which I shall have to rip and post cuz its rare, although tis probably up on the net somewhere. So yeah, that band rules, although this is not so powerful, mostly worth it for the CSMD space shit, and the Deche-Charge being absolute idiots in the recording space bit.

Damage Digital/Kursk
Damage Digital I have posted before, they are absolutely killer, they took their notes from Discordance Axis int emrs of how to write riffs, and then added a bunch of fun and light spiritedness, for most fo the songs, and then every once in a hwile hit you with something a bit darker, a bit heavier, or just some noise. Both bands spacier than usual o here. The Kursk side I am not too familiar with, listened to it a couple of times, liked it enough, but nothing special. Not a single thing comes to mind from that side that is of any interest to me.

Deche-Charge/Space Grinder
Space grinder rule, here they play noisegrind, sometimes they just do harsh nosie sit, I can link them definitely to Niku Do Rei, and bands like that whom I have posted on here before, but, with more space shit going on. Deche-Charge remain barbaric animals who smash up their instruments and pretty much everything else. Funny, super primitive noisegrind form them, like Anal Cunt and these bands, if you are into that. The more interetsing side for me is clearly the Space infleunced side. Cuz I'm nerdy like that. I have posted them before, as they were on the Total Scum Noise Shit Attack compilation, with a long noise PE track. Aside form this I cannot find anything from them. If you can, hook shit up.

Mundo De Mierda demo 2
35 0000 00000000 songs in just 11 minutes, total noisegrind, lots of reverb, lost of feedback, really snotty voice. Thats this demo tape. Its fun to listen to, if you have the time, and if you like grind. Also, if you dont mind improvisation and people yelling a lot.

Reach Out- Sic Transit Gloria Mundi
Reach Out were from Szolnok, if I am not mistaken, and were an average hardcore band form the 90s in the Hungarian sense, and then, they recorded this, fucking briliant piece of fastcore, but the best that the genre has to offer, in my opinion, with great lyrics (for the most part in Hungarian), awesome guitar work, fats as fuck drumming, catchy riffs, short songs, tons of shit going on, real busy like. And they never released it. I got this from Dr. Slayer, so all the thanks and respect in the world go to his faggot ass for hooking it up, cuz its just not available. Until now. I am sure members of this band now hate me for posting this, but this is too good to go unheard. Also, nothing to do with space.

Sepsism
One of the best death metal bands, their demo stuff is like total dungeon brutal shit, and their albums are nice crispy clean death metal, typical of the West Coast, where they are from. The best of American death metal is played to this day by Latinos for the most part, and almost always immigrants. This band is no exception, used to trad e-mails, they sent me one of their 1993 dmeo tapes, and I will ript hat for y'all, cuz it sounds awesome. Until then, here are some of the nicely recorded things, I htink you will find that this band is filthier and much more fucked up then your average death metal band.
Sepsism- Severe Carnal Butchery
Sepsism- Purulent Decomposition
Sepsism- To Prevail In Disgust

SKLO/Napalmed
Harsh noise again, although Naplamed I think is unique in the genre. Saw them at Obscene Extreme this year, they fuckin ruled, it was absolutely great, you could almost dance to it. Here its more spacy, which is why I chose this one. SKLO also do their thing really hard, the whole record will fuck you up. Like ants crawling around in your brain, they like the high frequencies a lot.

SMG/CSMD
So, as you could have guessed by now, I am including the CSMD stuff for the space likeness that they have. SMG are a band I have ranted about before on this blog, they are noisegrind, but leaning towards the old Raw Grind shit, some structutrs, the best in the genre is this type, where the song structures exist, but are left open. Here there is more structured shit than usually from them, they dont pull the 0.001 second songs on here either, they re almost like a normal grindcore band on this one. And CSMD are of course totally fucked up as usual.

The Solar Temple- Alone In Space
Ambient, deifnitely not noise, or grind, no blastbeats, no drums at all, just weird droning going on over space noise, but calm, nice, you might say idealized space noise. It has an interesting atmosphere. I like to listen to this when I am way too high. Its very soothing, and very calm. Not like the rest of this blog. So if your brains are oozing from too much grind, throw some of this on for good measure.

Obscure Grindcore Demo Tapes

Hello there folks. For the first time in the short and amuzing history of this blog, I will rant about things that are actually going to be part for the post. I want to say a few words about format. For different kinds of music, there are different formats which fit it best. This is totally obvious, and while most people just geek out on vinyl, or use mp3s, which I am cool with, many of us do not take the time to appreciate tapes. And not just tapes, mind you. Demo tapes. Tapes with a lot os songs on them, not all of which are noted on the sleeve. Tapes that have been hand made from other tapes, presumably from a different genre. Tapes that have a black and white, xeroxed cover, bu no information about the band, or the bands lyrics on there. Tapes that have sound quality so outrageous, so insanely bad, so extremely fucked up, that folks would not even release it on any other format.

The tape hiss is something that can conceal or enhance the listening experience. I personally love it, and it adds a dimension of mystery and depth to the music I already love. My cohort Marci has a tape distro, for this very reason. We are obsessed with tapes. Me especially, grindcore demo tapes, like the Violent Headache Pychoneurosis split, which I have not posted yet. Any sort of music that builds on noise as a factor should use this format, because of the obvious advantages of the format. Unlike a CD or an mp3, where everything is clean cut and obvious, this format allows for more shade. That's why I have left most of these as side by side rips, and have included track by track, or semi-track by track rips of the sides as well. Not to mention the sleeves. Now, after having done so, tell me, who loves you?

This is the Lo-Fi Or Die Comp that I have been sweating so much. The track list does not match the actual recorded material that is on it. Classic obscure grind move. So only side A has been taken apart trak by track. Standouts no this are Rust, SMG, and of course, Sakatat.

Sikitut.

The next two are demo tapes of a German band called Ulcerrhoea. They are absolutely awesome and once I get my vinyl ripping apparatus set up, you will hear of them more frequently, as I have almost all of their 7" material. As most really good grindcore bands, they started out playing gore grind, which these two tapes are, but with a political edge, and really, really negative lyrics. Just about consumer society, apathy, hopelessnes, armageddon, human stupidity, oppression, police control, etc. Later on they started playing basically just crust-grind, but more with a old school grind approach. One of the best bands ever.

ULCERRHOEA FUCKING RULE.

YOU KNOW THIS.
