Sunday Selections: another love edition

Last week I chose LOVE as a theme, because our Sunday Selections host Kim from Frogpondsrock’s daughter just got married. I found so many LOVEly photos in my files that I had enough for another LOVE edition.

So, here they are:

A LOVEly meeting between dog and foal. (They still are attracted to each other. Holle (dog) often licks Evie’s nose. Awww.)

The love between Naloma and Evie.

Our lovely Holle.

Hubs and Evie having an intimate get together.

This is just weird.

I really don’t love, or even like, my photo being taken. In fact, I don’t even want to look at photos of myself. But this self-portrait I could almost love. Should have cleaned the window though, before I took this shot.

Naloma loves being hugged. And no, she doesn’t have 7 legs and two tails.

Synchronized love.

Yep, there is the ‘horse kisser’ again. He loves (kissing) his horses.

They love each other and I know that our Sunday Selections host, Kim from Frogpondsrock, loves them.

On the search for these LOVEly photos, I found a lot of photos that will fit another theme next week. Be prepared for lots of chuckles and awwws.

Oh pifflesquit!

Uncle Skip, who has his tongue firmly planted in his cheek, gave me an award.

First Suldog gave Uncle Skip an award.

No.

First some poor innocent soul gave Suldog an award, which he accepted in his own unique way. Then Suldog passed the award on to Uncle Skip and some other bloggers.

And then Uncle Skip passed it on to some other bloggers and me.

This is it:

versatile-blogger

THANK YOU, UNCLE SKIP (I’m not even sure if the comma was necessary there. If it isn’t, feel free to ignore it.)

Of course these awards always have strings attached. A ‘thank you speech’ alone will not do. I understand that one must mention ‘stuff’ about one’s self in order to be a deserving recipient of this particular award. One must also link back to the presenter of the award, which one has done at the very beginning of this post and will do again at the very end of this post.

And I too can post a picture of a laughing animal. Better yet, I even took this photo.

So here’s some ‘stuff’ about me:

  • I’m 1.80m tall
  • I have published my first book last week, but I’m pretty sure no one will ever buy it
  • I’m hopeless at remembering birthdays
  • I have never smoked anything illegal
  • I have never smoked anything legal, apart from fish
  • I have a great sense of humour
  • I have no earlobes
  • I can make a damn good lasagne
  • I’m a Shaun the Sheep-fan
  • I used to visit bloggers who joined my list of followers to thank them, but apparently that scared the hell out of some people and they immediately stopped blogging. So I don’t do that anymore. I just ignore them and hope for the best.

Another string attached to this award is that I have to pass it on to 5 other bloggers. Most bloggers I know live in an award free zone, so there’s no point in bothering them with such a wonderful award as this is. Hmm, to whom will I pass this award on. They must be people who will really appreciate it (no pressure):

  1. Mara of Weighty Matters
  2. Liz of Backward Leonard
  3. Karen of A Good Snapshot

Okay, it’s not 5 exactly, but I’ve never been good with numbers.

Oh, and pifflesquit? You’ll have to visit Uncle Skip to find out what that means.

Caution line, so many different uses

Look at that big grassfilled belly of Naloma. If we didn't know any better, she could be pregnant again. But don't mom and daughter look gorgeous? We've noticed that Evie's colour is changing. Her legs are getting almost black and in other places, for instance her head, a darker brown appears. Similar to Naloma's colour. Exciting. Perhaps she will not be a grey after all.

And now Evie and her little friend Escobar (I know, our friends have a strange sense of humour) will demonstrate the different uses of caution line.

Escobar is showing how handy it is if you have an itchy nose, while Evie is leaning into it to show how strong and stretchy caution line is.

Caution line is also very useful to practice your 'going under something'-skills. As you can see, Evie has not yet mastered it completely. In these exercises caution line's stretchyness is very much appreciated.

And you can not only rub your bottom against it (as described in the 'poledancing foal post').
We asked Evie if she wanted to demonstrate the bottomrub again, just for the photo, but she refused. We even promised her money for a little poledance, but she said that she has too much class. Ha!
