Christmas 2008!

We are so grateful for the birth of our Savior and that we can celebrate this amazing event with people we love. We were able to spend Christmas with Ben's family in Klamath Falls this year. Ben's enire family was able to be there as well as his Grandma and Grandpa from Arizona. We almost didn't make it since we got stuck in the snow on the mountain about a half a mile from their house, but luckily with the help of all the guys we were able to make it! Gray and Cal had so much fun playing with their cousins Carter, Andi, and Reece.

Christmas eve started out with Grandma making chocolate pies and Gray and Carter licking the bowl clean........
Sadly, there is no one in the picture, but here is the table set and ready to eat our yummy meal. There were 14 adults, 4 missionaries, and 5 little ones......having so many people reminded me of Christmas with my family, the Gundersens!

Summer and Reece......
you will notice with the next two pictures that Summer and I need to communicte better what we are wearing.....we thought it was pretty funny that we wore almost the same outfit!

After dinner Grandpa Jay and Grandma Barbra read "The Grinch who stole Christmas". It was truly one of the funniest things I have ever seen!

Afterwards all the siblings and spouses read the Nativity and sang Hymns. The kids ran wild during the whole thing. It was so much fun!

Then the kiddos opened the pajamas Grandma and Grandpa got them....how cute are they?! She also made them the cutest fleece blankets.
The girls all got a new robe and slippers....very comfortable! The guys got pajama pants and slippers but weren't as willing to have their picture taken in them.
Christmas day was very eventful. We were truly spoiled by Santa and Ben's parents! We all got everything we asked for and more. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Suzanne and Paul! We love you guys so much!

We took a little break from opening presents to have our traditional bran muffins, bacon and orange juice for breakfast.....it was all so yummy!

Josh and Ben.......aren't they so cute?

Grayson was so excited when he opened his bulldozer.....he sure does love tractors!

Cal with one of his new presents....
Thanks again to Ben's family! Even though I really missed being with my family, Ben's family always makes it just as special. We love all of you!

Congrats Alli and Nic!

Ben's sister Alli was married to Nic on Saturday in the Medford, OR Temple. It was such a wonderful day! Alli looked beauiful as you can see! We are so happy for them to start their lives together and are excited to welcome Nic to the family!

I just had to put this picture becaue Grayson and Nikki loook so great....but my favoite part of the picture is Josh's face in the background......

Sam...........

The reception was held at Ben's parents house. It was snowing like crazy, but there was such a great turnout. I wish we had more pictures of the decorations because it was so beautiful! We had our hands full with our kiddo's so we didn't get many pictures.

Here is Gray and Carter......too cute!

Ben's Grandpa was able to perform the sealing at the Temple. He also sealed us, as well as all of Ben's other siblings. He and his wife are amazing people!
Cal looking handsome as ever!
Paul and Suzanne....what a great looking couple. No wonder I have such a great looking husband....look at his parents!

I sure do love my little boys!

Alli and her bridesmaids
Like I said....we were really bad at taking pictures so we don't have any of the bride and groom at the reception or of the groomsmen.....they all looked great though!

We had a really nice dinner at the Stake Center in Medford the night before the wedding and we stayed at a hotel so that we wouldn't have to drive back and forth. I just had to post these couple pictures because the kids were cracking me up....they ran into Grandma and Grandpa's room and jumped right into bed with them.....pretty cute!

Happy Birthday Cal!

I can't believe our baby is 1 year old today! Time goes by way too fast. We love our little Cal and he is such a joy in our lives. He has such a cute little personality and is a very silly little boy! He certainly knows how to pull faces! He is growing up so fast. He started walking a few weeks ago and is now cruising everywhere. Grayson thinks it's pretty cool that he walks and they are already playing chase. The only word he says is Mama, but that is normally only when he is crying....go figure. But, he is very good at putting his arms in the air when daddy says "touchdown", he waves hi and bye, and his favorite game is peek-a-boo. He has many other awesome talents too!

Church was canceled today because of snow and icy roads, so we got to stay home and celebrate Cal's big day all day! He opened his presents this morning.....and many thanks to his big brother Gray for showing him how it's done.

We planned on having a little get together with some friends and family, but because of the time of year many were out of town and some were not able to make it because of the weather....so we celebrated on our own. But, we had a lot of fun....plus we got to stay in our pajamas ALL DAY!

Grayson was so excited that instead of waiting until after dinner for cupcakes....we sang "Happy Birthday" and had our cupcakes as an appetizer! Cal LOVED them! He ate all of his plus the bottom half of Grayson's (which Gray did not eat because he ate all the frosting off the top and did not want the bottom....but of course wanted another cupcake, which he only ate the top of again!)

Overall, we had a great day! We are so happy that Calvin is a part of our family and we love him so much!

I just wanted to post a few pics from Cal's first year.....what a handsome little boy!
