Scrapbook Circle | Be Real

Hi there!  I'm trying something a little different for this month's Be Real post at Scrapbook Circle.  Each month a couple of creative team members are assigned to use Instagram photos on a layout or a pocket scrapbooking page.  I decided to change it up this month by creating a Be Real instagram photo album instead.

I loved the papers and embellishments that were included in the May Here and Now kit and coordinating add-ons.  I started off my insta album by cutting up the corrugated white cardstock included in the main kit.  It is thick and versatile, so I decided that it would make a great surface for my pages.  First, I used a paper trimmer and trimmed white corrugate pieces into 7 5"x 5" square pieces.  I purchased a patterned paper add-on this month, in order to create this album you would need to have extra corrugated paper on hand or you could cut your pages to 4"x 4" each and one sheet should do the trick.

After cutting up my corrugated background pages, I then cut up pieces of patterned papers from the main kit and May add-on kits measuring 5" x 5" each.  I then placed each cut patterned paper on each corrugated piece.  Once I got all of my papers placed, I used my crop a dile to punch through each page, and then adjoined them all using a jump ring.

Next, I printed off a couple of Instagram photos and a couple of small wallet sized photos.

Once the photos were in place I used a lot of embellishments, Thickers, thread, spray ink, lace netting and a couple of other items to finish each page.

My last page of the album is my "favorites" page. I used a tag (included in the main kit) to journal a few things about our special day.

Overall, I'm so happy with how this "Be Real" mini album turned out!

Pink Paislee | Christmas Countdown Day 23

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of http://canoncreativegirl.blogspot.com/.  I do receive financial compensation and material product from Pink Paislee to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.

Hi everyone,  I hope that you are enjoying the Christmas Countdown series on the Pink Paislee blog.  I have another page to share with you today.  I'm sharing today how I documented day 23.

Day 23 is all about the hot cocoa, a family favorite in our house.  I printed out both a black and white photo and color photo for my page spread.

I love adding dimension to my pages.  I used Sticky Thumb 3d foam squares to pop up my snowflakes before adhering them down.

Next, I added some sequins and machine stitching to my left page.  On the right side I added a piece of snowflake paper.  I love that it adds sparkle and shine to my notebook.  Here is a closeup look at the detail and how it all came together.

On the right side I spelled out cocoa at the bottom of my page.  I added sequins, stitching and enamel dots to embellish my page.  To finish off my page I added a shiny red label and the words "peppermint cocoa" just below my photo.

American Crafts | Instagram Album Tutorial

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of http://americancrafts.typepad.com/.  I do receive financial compensation and material product from American Crafts to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.

I love Instagram because it encompasses everyday snippets of our lives.
I put together this Instagram album for my daughter to help document
her summer memories.

Supplies: Finders Keepers (HS340259) - Minc Postcard Kit, Documentary (340198) - Thickers Noted/Cork, Documentary (340202) - Thickers Desktop/Gold Foil Puffy, Documentary (340196) - Paper Pad, Documentary (340247) - Wooden Button Shapes Assorted W/Gold Foil Accents, Documentary (340249) - Washi Tape Booklet W/Gold Foil, Documentary (340310) -Foiled Vellum Stargaze W/Gold, Documentary (340293) - Foiled Acetate 12"x12" Heart Of Gold W/Gold, Sticky Thumb (ST340275) - Flat Adhesive Dots .5", Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss (PP70661) - Instagram Chipboard Album 4"x4"

1. Gather your mini album and supplies.

2. Trim "On An Adventure" title from acetate paper, attach to album
cover with adhesive.  Finish by adding a strip of washi tape.

3. Measure the inserts of your album.  The inserts in the Pink Paislee
Citrus Bliss Album that I'm using measure exactly 4"x4", so I trimmed
my patterned papers 4"x4".

4. Add paper and Instagram photos to album.  Embellish photo by adding
rub ons.

5. Use the Heidi Swapp Minc Machine to add gold foil to Finders Keepers
postcards.  After foiling, trim postcards to 4"x4".

6. Add postcards to album.  Embellish photo by adding washi tape.

7. Use a tab punch to punch out tabs from various patterned papers.
Adhere tabs to each page of the album.

8. Use Sticky Thumb adhesive to adhere rub ons and wooden buttons
throughout album.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope that my tutorial, inspires you to create your own Instagram album!
