I peaked into the top of the Rusty Needle this morning. Tessie is explaining everything to Letty.
She is introducing her to new places and new friends now that she is a modern woman...
I over heard Tessie telling Letty that she could have the quilt shop. "Since you like to do needlework I will let you have this one. I hate needles and pins, I will let you have it if you make me a new quilt...
Next she introduced Letty to Eskiaga and Cordelia. She told her that Eskiaga always has a big plate of tacos and other Southwestern food on the table if she gets hungry.
I do believe that is the reason that Cordelia hangs out there a lot. She loves tacos.
Then she got just a little to free with my stuff. She offered Letty the use of MY craft cottage if Letty would paint her a couple of pictures to hang in her next house.
I will let Letty use the cottage, but I may just shrink and use that one myself, once in a while...It's much nicer and well organized than my big one!
The last place that she took her for today was to Albert's house.
Daisy, Albert and the basket maker were enjoying the afternoon...
Tessie barged in on their conversation to introduce Letty to them.
I think that the two men liked the new addition to the community. Letty was impressed when Tessie told her who Albert was and that he was a great scientist.
About that time I told them that was enough for one day. Letty can meet more of the people around here tomorrow. I have a feeling that Tessie is trying to keep her away from Zar.
I am not going to get in the middle of this. Usually, if it is a new man, Zar gets introduced first. Not this time.
I am going to just stand back and watch for a few days to see what happens...
Back to work. See you tomorrow.
Don't forget to poke the photos to enlarge!

One Last Day of Freedom....
That was today. Tomorrow it will be back to work!
I am going to start with Daisy's Cottage. She needs a place to come home to.
Everyone else has a place to live. She has waited long enough..
I am going to finish the kitchen first. Then the bathroom. All I have to do is get the elephant in the tub to go elsewhere while I work.
The kitchen shouldn't take too long. I might just use the stove from Tessie's townhouse. I hate to see it go to waste.
The baby elephant can stay in the bedroom for a couple of hours while I finish the bath.
He could use a good drying out.
I need to mop the floor and fold the towels. The rest is in pretty good shape.
The outside is finished...
The library needs a window and a door. Other than that, It is pretty well finished. It just needs a bit of cleaning here and there.
Tessie and Zar have taken over the observatory. I imagine that Daisy will be taking that over as soon as I am finished with the cottage.
Tessie and Zar will have to go elsewhere to have fun!
This sign is on the kitchen wall. You have to lean inside to see it.
It's a bit hard to see without extra lighting.
This is what I am going to be doing, right along with Daisy if this house doesn't get finished soon!
She has waited patiently for half a year for me to do this. I stopped working on it a little before Christmas, last year.
Time to get back to the serious stuff!

Let's Get This Show On The Road!!!
OK. I am ready for a new adventure. The only trouble is, the Terrible Two plus One are also ready to go.
I cleaned off the work table in the bedroom a while ago and went and got the observatory and library.
Guess who followed me into the bedroom? Yup. The Terrible Two plus Spike. Spike is probably worse than the other two combined. He will chew on anything that isn't fastened down.
The other two, not so much. If it isn't food and doesn't taste good, they leave it alone.
I forgot that I started another rug to go with the color scheme when I switched from turquoise to lavender for Daisy.
She likes this color scheme better, but.... So does Tessie.
I have the feeling that the library is going to be put to good use when Daisy isn't at home...
Tessie has already put quite a few cupcakes in the freezer, so that as soon as Daisy gets in the time machine, she can move right in!
Of course, Zar has plans for the telescope. He has it pointed at the north star and ready to go.
I tattled on the three of them and Daisy is making plans to stay a while and enjoy her new house as soon as it is finished.
She is already planning the housewarming. She tells me that you are all invited to join the party when that happens!
I have to go throw out the Terrible Two plus One now. Then I will start work on Daisy's new rug now.
See you tomorrow.

Daisy Eulalia Is Home!!!
"Enough messing around with cleaning and straightening!!!" That was Daisy this afternoon. She arrived with the time machine about four 'o clock,
It seems that Albert is faster than I am. He was at the door of the time machine when I went in to greet her.
I have been cleaning all of the minis and also my workroom.
Daisy Eulalia found out and she is NOT happy.
I quit working on her cottage and other buildings a couple of years ago.
She kept waiting patiently for quite a while.
When Albert informed her of what was going on here, she went berserk. I got several notes yesterday. A couple of phone calls this afternoon and a threatening telegram a little later.
As soon as I got the telegram I jumped up and started taking stock of what has to be done on her buildings. I Didn't think that anybody sent telegrams anymore.
The library and observatory doesn't even have a door on the library side and the dust is about three inches thick on the inside of the library. In her scale... Not mine.
If I put my mind to it, I can probably have the whole thing done in about a week. Give or take a few days.
As soon as she stepped out of the time machine, I apologized and told her that I would start working on it bright and early tomorrow morning. Rain or shine! She suggested that I start now and keep going day and night until it is livable... Well we are going to have to compromise on that. I can only stay awake so long. Then I at least have to have a cat nap. Anyway, expect to see me with tools and brushes tomorrow morning. Bright and early! See you then!!!

Taking the Day Off!!!
I took one look at Zar and Tessie, sitting around doing nothing and decided that I wanted a day off too!
Tessie is still gloating over the pink purse and I am not making more until I do something for me!
I started looking around and found that Albert and Daisy were settled in for the duration. They were chatting about the universe and the time-space continuum. They could care less about what I was doing this morning.
I refuse to work when nobody else is doing anything. They are all just wasting away the day. No work at all!
The last straw was Eskiaga and Cordelia. They have been sitting there in the living room of Eskiaga's home for at least five or six years. They don't do anything but go to parties when someone has one.
I am on strike today. If they can do it, so can I.
Walter is playing golf four days this week. I think that makes it legal if I take the day off and do something fun.
No more "Back to work. See you tomorrow.

Not Much Mini-ing...
I have several projects going all at once. Not all of them are minis...
I am doing pretty good on the shawl. I have been working on it a couple of hours every day, while watching the series "Iron Fist" with Walter.
As for the minis, I did none today. It seems that when I went to check on what was to be done on the roombox, the gang was ganging up on me.
They know that this is not for them. They were having a meeting behind my back to see how they could persuade me to work on their requests...
If they would just have the meeting somewhere else, I could finish this a lot faster...
Zar actually had the nerve to request a bookcase like the one that I am making for the room box. He says that he needs it for the living room of the Clockwork cottage.
Again... Go away and let me finish this project. Then I can get to your requests...
I did finish a couple of pendants. I am not sure whom these are going to quite yet, but at least I have another couple of presents done.
I am working with both hands and sometimes my feet are involved too. I keep having to run back and forth between the workspace in the bedroom and the workroom.
How many days do I have left now? Maybe you better not tell me. I am working as fast as I can.
See you tomorrow.

Visions of Sugarplums....
I am right back where I started...
Tessie and Zar called a truce and Spike went along with it... They are all hiding out in the new room. Lots of whispering.
I am not allowed to listen.
They seem to think that possession is nine points of the law...
Nope! Not happening. They are about to be kicked out.
I caught Albert and Daisy with their heads together... Discussing the trade.
Wait a minute... I thought that Albert was joining Tessie in her fight with me!
I think that Tessie kicked him out when Daisy stopped talking about trading with him for the time machine...Tessie was hoping for a few trips in the machine.
I am not sure who is talking with whom about what...
I think that Albert is playing both ends against the middle.
He now seems to want to move in with Daisy... However... Daisy told him to get out.
Tessie also told him to leave... Poor Albert. I think that he should just give up and go home.
All he has left is the nine dollar dollhouse! I think that Daisy and Tessie have both decided that they want to keep what is theirs.
And me? I think that I am about to get demands from all of them for new stuff.... Houses(Albert).
Furniture(Tessie). Zar(His Clockwork Cottage). And Daisy (wants her kitchen finished).
Right after Christmas gang! I'm busy right now!
See you tomorrow.

All Quiet, All Day...
When we got home from dinner, Tessie was finally out of bed. She was not up to talking with people, but she was back to talking to alligators and dogs...
She's still not talking to me.
She's still mad that I missed yesterday... Oh well.....
Zar evidently tried to get her to make him a pie... It wasn't happening... She is still not talking to him either.
Thus. No pie.
He is not great at making his own. He just made a mess of the colonial kitchen.
Guess who has to clean it up tomorrow. Not him.
I looked in on Albert. He is still trying to make a deal with Daisy for her house and time machine.
So far, I think that he is batting 0.
Daisy one! She doesn't want to trade the time machine for anything.
Albert zero! I imagine he is going to keep trying... Good luck, Albert!
I can tell him that it's not going to happen. Daisy likes her day trips to Tombstone.
As for me, I am just going to stand back and watch things happen... Don't hold your breath, Albert.
I am going now and try to get a few minis done before bedtime.
See you tomorrow.

Second Thoughts...
Albert got a look at what he would inherit with taking over Daisy's home, time machine and observatory...
He doesn't seem as enthusiastic as he did in the beginning.
We started at the top and worked our way down, since he was the most interested in the time machine...
On the second floor, he got a look at the baby elephant that spends most of his time in Daisy's bathtub.
Not really Albert's cup of tea...
Then, in the bedroom, he got his first look at some of Daisy's dogs.
All together, she has four.
He is not to crazy about inheriting her zoo.
They eat better than she does most of the time. She orders out for them...
I think that the jaguar that lives downstairs is the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back...
Albert sat down in the basket chair and didn't even get his feet off of the floor before Mick, the jaguar went into attack mode...
He spends most of his time curled up asleep on the couch. In a flash, he was up and half way across the coffee table before I stopped him...
He's a good guard cat...
Lastly, the kitchen really broke the camel's back...
It has never been finished. It is in a state of disrepair that will take a while to fix...
Albert would prefer move in ready. I have a feeling that, at this rate, the Nine Dollar Dollhouse is beginning to look pretty good to him...
Do you suppose that Daisy had this in mind when I caught her this morning making a bigger mess of the kitchen than it was already?
Again, I am staying out of it. Sooner or later they will settle things. Until then, I am just relaxing and enjoying the entertainment.
See you tomorrow.

I Know I Can Do This!!!
Albert is not going to get Daisy's house and machines unless he can prove that he knows how to use them...
He is familiar with telescopes, so that part is not a problem...
He proved himself worthy of taking over that part of the cottage...
He seems to like her choice of telescopes...
He also likes the rest of the front of the cottage. He has not seen the unfinished kitchen or the baby elephant that continuously cleans the bath tub...
That part should be interesting, when he gets upstairs.
Right now, he is mainly interested in the machines...
He is already complaining about having to use a rope ladder to get to the time machine...
Strangely, Daisy always thought of that as a workout before traveling...
Albert doesn't see it that way. I have a feeling that he is going to want a staircase to the stars...
He wants to go somewhere far away and long ago for his first trip... Daisy is trying to get him to walk before he runs...
Once he got up there, he started complaining about running the time machine with a Ouija Board.
Daisy explained that it was the easiest way... Just don't lose the planchette....
That's the key to the whole thing.
I have a feeling that there are going to be some arguments before he takes over. And I am going to be the mediator and fixer of all of the bugs in the system...
Hey! It worked for Daisy. I don't see why Albert can't adapt.
I am going to go somewhere, that isn't where they are, and watch Korean TV until they settle things...
Back to business. See you tomorrow.

Running Away From Home...
I came home with this strange little pair of scissors.
You simply unlatch the orange part by sliding it forward. Then you press down on the orange part, with your thumb to cut things.
I have never seen anything like these before.
They are advertised as being extremely accurate in their cutting... We shall see. So far, I like them. I have only cut a piece of paper to see if they were sharp. They are.
I still have to do something to see if they are as accurate as the makers claim... We shall see.
The next thing I did was listened to the little voices in my head that told me I should go to the Twenty Second Street Antique Mall...
I think that I am officially going to listen to those little voices more often.
Look what I found! These are hand carved stone. About 2 1/2"from top to bottom...
I am going to have to see if I can find out what kind of stone they are. Maybe some kind of jade?
I suspect that they are both the same kind of stone. The first one is natural. The only thing wrong with it is there is a small piece missing from the tail of the bird on the left side. I think that it can be covered within the design that I do.
This second one has a stain of some kind in all of the carved parts.
Anyway, I paid $5.00 a piece for them and I think that they will be good candidates for wire wrapping or beading...
Those little voices have been getting me into a lot of trouble lately, but I like what they are saying.
I have to go now and see how Albert is doing with his pitch to get the time machine away from Daisy. He is trying to tell her that she works too hard and should retire from all of the time travel...
He has generously offered her the Nine Dollar Dollhouse in trade for her cottage and the time machine... Whom do you think will win this round??? I am betting on Albert, so far...
See you tomorrow.

Introductions All Around...
Albert is no shy violet...
When I got up this morning, he was introducing himself to everybody in the neighborhood.
I caught the first photo when he was at Eakaiga's place.
He was getting permission to use the nine dollar dollhouse from the owner. She seems to always be at Eskaiga's place. I am not sure what is going on...
He left there and was on his way over to Zar's trailer. I caught him rescuing the cat that was about to pounce on the snake in the Archeologist's Office.
I guess that was his good deed for the day. He carefully tucked the kitty in the carpet bag and took him along on the rest of his visits.
I have the feeling that Albert has chosen his own pet. I didn't have to encourage him at all. He knew that the kitty was no match for the snake...
When he got to Zar's trailer, he stopped long enough for a cup of coffee.
The two of them are still negotiating over the clockwork cottage. I don't think that Albert will have much trouble talking Zar out of it. Zar has shown very little interest in it in the last couple of years...
Albert stopped at the Witches Warehouse. He seems to be very interested in fortune telling... Or maybe it's just Zofi, the fortune teller that he is interested in...
His last stop was at Daisy's cottage... She showed him the time machine.
For some reason, I have a feeling I should have hidden that, before he got here.
He is now asking how much Daisy would sell the cottage and the time machine for...
He wants to learn how to run the thing. I can see it now. He is going to try to get more people to come back here and keep him entertained...
I think that the time machine is going to get a glitch in it's works very soon....
Back to work.
See you tomorrow.

Why?
Whatever possessed me?
I think that I just got myself into a lot more trouble. As soon as I finished the clothes, Albert woke up.
There were a lot of questions to answer. "What am I doing here?" Where's here? "What is that contraption on the desk?"
On and on they went.
Thank goodness, Tessie arrived about then. She took over. I think that he recognized her and trusted her more than the gigantic woman that was terrorizing him... (Me)
She peddled in on her bike and he immediately wanted to ride it.
She talked him out of that. I think that she was afraid that he would fall off of the desk and wreck her bike and himself...
Instead, she said to him... "I have something that is much more fun than a bike to ride.
And she proceeded to introduce him to Gordon.
She plopped on Gordon's neck and pulled him up after her.
I doubt that Albert will trust her after the ride is over. Yes. They were still spinning around my head as I was writing.
After that, they disappeared. I had to go see where she took him and if it was dangerous for either of them...
Nope. She next introduced him to carry out pizza. He lived in Italy as a youngster, so at least he knew what it was.
I left them alone, knowing that Tessie would take care of an old friend.
The only thing that puzzled Albert was.... How did he shrink to 5 3/4"? And why was he alive in 2017?
I looked over to the other side of the room and saw Zar and Daisy with their heads together... I over heard Daisy say, "You know... For a fee, I could take him back to the 1950s and we could all avoid a LOT of trouble."
Zar just shrugged and answered... "Nope. I want to see how long the novelty will last. Sooner or later, Tessie is going to get tired of answering all of Albert's questions. Then the fun will begin, again....
Back to work.
See you tomorrow.

It's Tessie's Turn...
Tessie is playing with leftovers again...
I took the end off of the conservatory in one piece... Kind of... There were a couple of bricks missing, but it was mostly there.
She had me cut a base for the wall and then she started making plans for it.
I over heard her and Daisy talking. Tessie told her that it wasn't quite as good as a time machine, but it could work for getting into all kinds of places that the big people don't want us to get into...
For example, the workroom, where all the good stuff is stored.
Her theory is, you put her wall next to the room that she wants to enter and just like that! Open the door and go inside...
I am not going to break her bubble, but I am wondering how she is going to get the wall that her wall is fastened to out of the way?
She heard me question that and she simply grinned and said one word... "Magic!"
I am not holding my breath until I see if this works. I have my doubts.
Daisy seems to believe every word that Tessie is spouting.
I didn't realize how slanted the sides of the conservatory were until I saw these photos. Oh well... Maybe that's part of the magic???
Anyway, stay tuned to see how she does this... I know I am going to be listening to see if I can pick up any tips on how to make something like this work...
We shall see how she does it.
And I will see you tomorrow.
