Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps October Release Krafty Hop!

We're excited because it's FINALLY October Release Day at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!! We're releasing all the new CLEAR stamp sets we've been previewing all week and we’re celebrating with a KRAFTY HOP!!

I used the new Christmas Cheer set for my card.  I kept it pretty simple and flat for mailing!  I absolutely ADORE the movie Elf so it was a no brainer for me to choose this sentiment for my card!  I added a little Buddy the Elf hat onto my sentiment and used some older Doodlebug papers that reminded me of a candy cane forest!  LOL!  I LOVE this new sentiment set and know I'll get a ton of use out of it for my Christmas cards this year!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Christmas Cheer!

Oh my goodness!  It's hard to believe that my blog has been silent for this long!   Obviously I haven't been stamping - I've been taking a bit of a break.  But when I saw this amazing new Christmas Cheer set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - I begged Kimmie to let me help out with the sneak peeks.  I picked this wonderful sentiment (I {heart} the shadow and distressing in the lettering) and paired it with some Doodlebug Christmas papers.  I couldn't help but use a die to make an iconic Starbucks cup to go with the "warm memories" part.  I distressed everything up and added some burlap ribbon.  I love clear stamps - and these ones are such high quality, they stamp beautifully!! 

The set features EIGHT amazing sentiments that can be used as the focal point of your creations or they can be an addition to another image and also for the insides of your holiday cards!

I used sweet little Lucas from the Christmas Cheer set!  I paired him with this week's Mojo Monday sketch and some Basic Grey papers.  I also added some yummy felt ribbon and one of the awesome sentiments from this set!

I've used Someone Special and paired it up with some older Echo Park papers (This & That).  I decided to use some less traditional colours along with my red and green (pink and dark brown) and I love the way it turned out!

I pulled out Lulu from the Joyful Holiday set and paired her up with some older Echo Park papers.  I just love her footed pj's!  The layout is an older Mojo Monday sketch although I moved my embellishment and added the sentiment.

Krafty Challenge - Embellish It!

I decided to use a Christmas stamp this week!  Actually - true confession time, I had this image coloured up for a challenge this summer that I never ended up completing!  LOL!  But I finished it this week and added some jingle bell brads and some buttons with twine for embellishment!  This stamp is called Deck the Halls and I also snuck a Holiday Trinket on there as well.

Magic Reindeer Food for Preschool

Oh my - it's been too long since I've blogged, but it seems with the hectic pace of the holiday season that stamping is the first thing to get crossed off my list. I do need to make some Christmas cards in the next couple days, so I'll have those to share soon. My own Christmas cards though got sacrificed for the sake of time. I decided that they just weren't going to get done and ordered photo cards through Costco. I won't let myself get stressed out about things that matter so little in the grand scheme of things!

I did have a chance to make some Magic Reindeer Food for my daughter's preschool friends. I made this a couple of years ago for my son's kindergarten class, so figured it was time again. The reindeer is a Quickutz die and the poem was printed off my computer. The food itself is simply rolled oats and coloured sugar. A fun little thing to give and for the kids to do.
