My Wish For You

Hi! Today it's Joy here, showing you a card I made for the Classy Cards 'n Such Challenge #95, called Colors and Patterns.

I'm always interested in how patterns are put together, so I will really be looking forward to seeing what you do!

A scallop die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 4, those great dimensional Joy Large Foam Pads to pop up the sentiment.

A few scraps from my HUGE paper pile and a stamp, was all that was needed for this card. Classy Cards 'n Such made this an easy challenge!

Now remember to take a look at the easy-peasy guidelines that Beverly has posted on the challenge announcement each week. Just click on the Current Challenge button, to see the current challenge of the week. Make a project - it can be a card, layout or even a 3D project - perhaps a wall hanging and link it on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog.

Thanks for looking at my card. I can't wait to see your projects!

Pink Blossoms

Hi, Diane here with you today! I have a very summery card to show you!

I made my flowers first, using the newly released
PoppyStamps Velvet Blossom. I had a bit of surprise when I cut this die, as each petal cut separately, then you put the flower together petal by petal. I loved that, it made each flower much more real!

Once the petals were cut and embossed, I colored them with Susan's Gardens Pan Panstels Flower Coloring Kit,
using the Magenta color on pink card stock. The center of the flowers and the stems also cut separately.

I cut a Spellbinders Floral Oval from white card stock. I stenciled it using Memory Box Texture Tessatina stencil,
giving a nice, soft background look.

The butterflies were cut from Heavyweight Vellum twice, one for the bottom and one for the top. The bottom piece I did not emboss. Aren't they pretty? I think they make such a statement!

The background paper is from Wild Rose Studio, and I created a bow to finish.

A few things I pretty much use daily in the making of my cards are Scor-tapeLarge and Mini Cuttlehug adapter plates, Cheery Lynn Designs Crafters Tools.

Thank you for visiting with me!

Arianna Thanks

Hi, it's Jenny posting again, with a Clean and Simple style card.

If you've seen my cards lately you know I have been using my Arianna Blooms flower die on almost everything, but I haven't used the delicate central part of the flower that is part of the die.

I thought it would be fun to create a negative space card with the centers of the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms die. This part of the die reminded me of snowflakes and by changing the colors this could make a simple and elegant Christmas card.

I first positioned the three dies over a piece of white card stock and ran it through my big shot using the magnetic spacer platform so the dies would stay in place. I then took the white panel and layed it over different colors of designer paper to see which looked best underneath. I wanted a simple paper that wan't too pale because I wanted contrast with the white. I chose a paper from my Love Letters paper pad, and found the pink paper in the same stack to cut the 'Thanks' word from the Impression Obsession Greeting Set.

I used Joy Foam Pads to adhere the white card stock to the green paper to really show off that negative space. Then I layered and glued the three die cuts to form a flower.  I added Pink Rhinestones and used Joy Foam Pads to attach the flower to the center of the largest cut out.

To finish off, I added some Wink of Stella glitter to the 'Thanks' word. Then I glued the word and added rhinestones to the centers of the other two cut-outs.  Thanks for looking and I hope you can join our challenge this week!

Sending His Angel

Hello! Diana here to share with you my card for this week's Pink and Polka Dots Challenge.

I really broke out the Foam Pads and Pearls for this card!  I had some pink polka dots patterned paper in my stash, and I used it both behind and in front of my die-cut layers.

The die cut layers consist of Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight and Beaded Ovals. Each of the layers are popped up using Joy! Small Foam Pads.

I then stamped my verse from ODBD Holy Angels stamp set and embossed using Black Detail embossing powder.

For some final touches, I added some a Cosmo, a couple of Pink Mini Rose Buds, and Pearls.

Thank you so much for looking and I hope you get a chance to play along!
