SAMPLER BOM - have yet to receive

It was over due............... and I am not sure what with the rest of us, participants ....... have they or have they not received full blocks yet, cos not all are making entry on their blog respectively ......as I understood, due to other commitments and major attention needed elsewhere.

And what I display here are 10 blocks received from 10 BOM participants. I am patiently waiting 2 more blocks from HANI and FAWA............. to fill up the empty/white space and get all done with soon. My hope that I am not waiting in vain finally.....

We shall see, and I am sure they are a good game-keeper, just that we should wait, a while longer!

This came from Mus and my 10th blocks........ It was very neat and sewn with care and love.... All I can say is, it was a perfect piece. Thanks Mus, love it dearly!

My 9th block received from Mardiana few days ago. Soft touch plus a soft colour combination of my choice looks lovely to join the rest shortly. Love it Diana and thanks a lot :)

Since all are done I am sending these off to the rightful owner, namely, Aimila, Maz, Fida and also to Diana. Soon all will reach their destination and very much hope they are happy with my works....

Okay girls, from here soon we will see the outcome of our blocks.... after we have received all....... So far I have 7 blocks out of 12......


Well, I am sure all girls participating play their roll and we shall see and WAIT!

This dotty bright piece was from CikKema, received yesterday. My 7th block so far.

The house renovation is moving fast to my sewing corner, bathroom and the kitchen.... so I did a sewing marathon and completed these................

Phew.... soon everyone will get their block.... and I can sleep tight now........

Maz has requested for white, brown and turquoise, so this is hers

November's block is for Fida................. you will get this soon Fida!!

Lastly for December's block is definitely for Diana......

BACK with loads of BOM!

It is simply great to be back again and laze myself in the house that we, hubby and me, called home........After about a month being away from my sewing corner, today I started to dust away all my sewing equipments and working table which I missed dearly.

So much had happened, some mishaps and also happy moments....... and as I blog, I will define them bit by bit. But firstly let me update the BOM that we have played up till July. It is my turn to receive 11 blocks from our dearest participants. Blocks received were piled up by hubby and all mails were duly opened the moment I reached home last few days.

SAMPLER BOM 2010 from Fida

Fida's block seems to be the first to arrive even though my turn will due on July, next month. According to her, she is having a long holidays...... Have a nice vacation Fida.

So I have two blocks now, from 'KakDee' and Fida....... Thanks a lot Fida.... it is so bright and neat. I really love it!

SAMPLERBOM # 4 - ATON

This was meant for ATON, the next recipient for Sampler BOM. This was posted on the 25th April, and by now definitely, Aton has received this safely.

SAMPLERBOM # 3 - NAIZ

Finally I am back at home in this beautiful town of Alor Setar late last night. Hoping our next travel schedule will be few months later. I need to adjust lots of pending works and projects.....

As promised here is Naiz block...... Have you received it Naiz :) ?

Naiz's Block

It seems lately times passed by without mercy and I am rushing everything and grabbed anything that came accrossed the way. Back to Alor Setar just for few weddings and now at BK3 again.

Late night when all, hubby and children having their slumber and sleep soundly I was at my sewing corner, which I missed dearly and did some sewing. Not forgetting Naiz's BOM block and few others. Think by now Naiz has already having my piece with her (will add in the photo when I am back at Alor Setar, the camera was left behind...... :(

Wish I could visit Balkhis but just missed her somehow...... I know she needs to rest.

SAMPLERBOM # 2 - MUS

Managed to complete this month's BOM block for MUS. Unfortunately I can't add some image.... such a mess I have faced since the upgrading of the PC.....

Though I was a bit behind, I had just made it on time........Will post to you MUS.... but wondering if I still have all the addresses stored somewhere..................


p/s Finally the image was uploaded..... already posted on March 1st..... Mus, hoping you are happy with the outcome!

SAMPLERBOM-2010 # 1

At last, this little beauty is completed. It didn't take long but all the dilly-dally...... Hani will receive this.....my July block for January first recipient. It measures 15.5" square. In much hope that Hani will have this very soon after I get the postal address from Fida.

P/S Some minor adjustment had been made to the table scheduled by Mus, which I found very appropriate and perfect for guidance. Thanks Mus...... your turn next......! Sabar!!!!!

P/S Another brilliant ideas was from Cik Kema..... walk or run over to her site and copy our individual schedule made by her, copy/paste on ours ....... wow...... excellent!!!!! Bravo!!!!!

SamplerBOM2010 - January for Hani

We, all participate, will start this month with assigned block with guidance from BOMQuilts.com original sampler design of FQS Cinnamon-teen Chocolate Figs & Roses 2006 BOM Quilt until the end of December 2010. It consists of a 16-patch squares for each and a total of 12 blocks will be made by each one of us in rotation each month. The finished size of this quilt will be 57" x 73.5"......

Before I start with my first block I would like to personally convey my thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the BOMQuilts.com for sharing this beautiful masterpiece. Thank you again.....

The first lucky member to get the whole lot of blocks will be HANI.... Congratulations Hani.... I am sure you just can't wait to receive those blocks of your own colour choice..... WHITE, GREEN and PINK !

To start my passions for quilting and sewing for next year, I enrolled my self in this SamplerBOM organized by Fida.... and silently promise myself not to get much involve with exchange, swaps and many more tempting games all around the sphere......

Just wonder if I manage to keep my promise.... this time.... for the whole of next year......... :O
