RE workshop @ IKM Sik Kedah

Last week I had such hectic days of doing errands and hunting for ribbons and some sewing materials, preparations for the beginners RE class that I conducted at IKM Sik on Monday July 2nd 2010.

Around 11 enthusiast RE students only, but apparently they are sewist themselves and easily 'manageable' ..... :D... They all are fast and eager learner and towards the end of the day they have something to turn the RE sampler into.......... and proudly display for this coming 'Aid.

All in all I am much happy that my little mission had accomplished and met few new friends..... and such fun knowing them. Maybe someday we could meet again with some new craft things to share..........

LITTLE ACHIEVEMENTS

Our latest WI Annual State Meets was held about 2 weeks ago. As usual all the protocol which involved the Royalty. But here I would like to make an entry about a little achievements. Nothing but craft related, though.

It was paid off when I did these two while accompanying Nia in the hospital bed....... I was so happy and it all worth it.

Not really as good as some of our local RE and stitchers which are many and some have their own design and do a delicate and very intricate handworks. But I am most happy that my effort were appreciated amongst our NGO groups, and I am quite contented now...... will do more better works in my next projects I hope.......

Here are the final products of the head scarf and the draw string bag which each has won a first place individually. These two are now at our WI HQ for the next level representing Kedah state............. Although I have very little hope ..... just give them a try and pray hard................ :D

RE Courses

This is where I was last week..... attending some courses representing WI state at WI HQ along Jalan Gasing, PJ. My first time ever landing my fingers on embroidering ribbons and laces to form a beautiful and delicate crafts.....

It lasted for a solid day... and met few others all over the Semenanjung. Had really enjoyed as we gather and venture new knowledge and add new acquaintances along the path.
