A new craft room shelf…free!

IMG_7625

Remember here where I spent my $75 gift card to Lowes?

IMG_7626

Part of what I bought was this shelf and the wooden brackets which I painted peacock blue (also with some paint from that same gift card).

100_7491

Love those brackets!

I am now storing supplies (and some pretties like the wooden spools and the seashells) in jars on this shelf above my sewing tables.  I made the knobbed lids for the jars (you can read about them here) and store ribbon, elastic, some zippers, special buttons, and other sewing supplies there so they are off my workspace and easy to find.

IMG_7630

I have a few thrifted wooden boxes up there too to store paints and some cones of thread.

IMG_7628

Bias tape is stored along side the Keep Calm and Craft On print that my niece gave me a few years back.

I love having this all on display within easy reach and I hung it on the wall all by myself.

I may be linking to some of these great parties!

Who me? Yes, I won a $75 Lowes gift card!

This post may or may not be is a month or so late…but yes, I won a $75 gift card for Lowes from a giveaway on Crap I’ve Made!! Char sent me an email that I was the winner as several other “winners” didn’t answer her  emails. Lucky me, I was so excited!

100_7199

I went in the store determined that I would not spend more than the $75 on the card and I had several projects in mind that I needed supplies for.  I also wanted to get some Valspar spray paint which I had heard about but never used before…

100_7200

The color choices were amazing and I fell hard for these three colors which are slightly different in shade. All gloss, tropical glass, exotic sea and peacock blue!  I have used the exotic glass on my new to me wicker mirror.

100_7197

The practical side of me bought some light bulbs too!  I couldn’t help it…needed them, so in the basket!

100_7218

I bought the wood legs and brackets and used this leftover 2 x 12 to make a short table.  I was going to use it painted for plants in front of the doors, but my son claimed it as a shelf for his computer table.  It works great there.  So, since he didn’t want it painted, I just sanded it well.  I can always paint it when he is done with it.

IMG_6347

I bought this ready to use shelf board and the brackets to hang it with.  It’s going in my sewing room to hold supplies in mason jars.  More on that when I get it hung on the wall!

100_7198

Oh, and I also got the newest copy of the HGTV Magazine and some sandpaper!  I did spend less than $10 on the total sale as I forgot to calculate the tax into the final amount.  I actually had a few houseplants that were on the clearance aisle but I put them back so I would stay within my budget!

Don’t you just love to spend money that you don’t have to pay for?  Have a great week!

Thanks for the giveaways!!

I wouldn’t consider myself a lucky person…but lately I have won some great giveaways and want to give a shout out to the great shops/blogs that offered such great winnings!

Back in September I won this Air Wick and $50 Target Card giveaway over at Tatertots and Jell-O!  (sorry no pic of this one)…but that Air Wick sure smells good…they have some great new scents.

Then I won this giveaway from Jill at Creating my Way to Success!

100_6727

A $30 store credit from Little Old Souls…Bettina has such cute little baby and kiddo things!  I got these cute suspenders for my nephew Brady and some hair rosettes for my two nieces Elena and Audrey.

100_6729

Then I placed third at the Totally Green Contest and won a $25 Home Depot gift card from Missy at Havoc-to-Heaven

100_6861

And this jewelry (two pair of earrings and two bracelets) from Sensational Creations

100_6785

Beautiful glittery cards and wonderful cookies from HezziD’s BakesandCrafts etsy shop.  Those cookies were awesome!

100_6575

And then the last giveaway I won was from the Gingerbread Blog here

100_6811

I won $50 of store credit at KHB Prints on etsy.  Kristin is on vacation now so the shop is closed, but oh my, there are some really great printables there!  I can’t show two of them because they are gifts and are personalized…  I also got a numbers digital file so I can print it whenever I want.

So, anyway, hope this streak of luck continues…and I really appreciate the generosity of these craftswomen who are willing to donate their work and for all the bloggers offering the giveaways!  Thanks, thanks, thanks!

I have  come a long way,  however, it took me probably 20 minutes to figure out how to capture this screen shot, but I finally got it wrestled down and pasted here in the old blog.
Thanks for all your comments and thanks for following me!
I want to do some sort of giveaway, but please tell me what you want for a giveaway, look around and leave me a comment!

Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Winner

Ok, this is the moment you have been waiting for…

Sue, you will get these cool felted wool items!  I will mail them as soon as I get your address!

100_0737_thumb[2]

Last year I had a total number of 156 comments!  I was surprised to only have 28 this year.  There were a lot of shops/blogs participating though, so I guess that could be part of the reason.  I know Blogger has had a glitch in folks leaving comments too. I had tried to enter several giveaways and my comment always showed up as anonymous, instead of with my name…

Anyway, congrats to Sue D and I will be emailing you to get your address!
