And we took a nice Saturday morning drive in the country.
Fabulous squishy packages arrived. Do you want a squishy package to? Bea is getting ready to start another round so come join the fun.
Please enter your pin was from a swap on Craftster.org. Have you been there? Soooo much crafty goodness to browse.
Here are the two I sent out. This is Razzleberry by LaTodera.
Thank you everyone!!!
My pincushion swap finally arrived so I can show you what it looks like now. Remember the dragon egg hint?
Well here it is all finished. Isn’t this cute! It’s Razzleberry by LaTodera.com
But check this out…. you can flip it over and use it as a handy little sewing basket too.
I think the little oriental print looks fabulous.
It was a bit of TV watching hand work to gather up and stuff all the pods. Then they are glued in to the honey comb shape that was stitched up by machine. A really nice gift project.
My fun pincushion arrived in the mail this weekend from Turid. This was the January swap.
I’ve never sewn with selvage edges but items made from it always interest me. What have you made with selvages?
Do you want to start or add to your pincushion collection? Do you simply like getting gifts in the mail each month? Then stop by BeaQuilter.com and join in the fun.

Can it be? A nest of blue dinosaur eggs?!?! Nooooo, just a sneak peek at my pincushion for Bea’s pincushion swap. I know Bea is a follower so I can only show a snippet until she actually gets it.
Talk about making it just under the wire. Finished and boxed for mailing today.GAH!
I received a surprise in the mail today!! A fun acorn pincushion!! I’ve had my eye on this cute little pincushion since the September round.
Thank you Nancy♥
I’ve been participating in the pincushion swap over at Bea Quilter’s Blog. Come join the fun!
Here’s the lovely embroidered one that arrived this month! It’s elegant and fun at the same time. I LOVE IT! Thank you Bea.
A little pumpkin patch is forming! Isn’t he cute!
I found this block in EQ7 and printed it as a paper piecing template. I used the same PlumEasy pattern as the star pincushion only I substituted a pumpkin block for the star center.
What fall projects are you making?
What have you been up to? I’ve been up to lots of little things and stocking stuffers.
I made several of these great Triple Zip Pouches from Debbie at a Quilter’s Table Blog. Just right for everything. Looks great in playful colors as well as more serious colors:)
Got this month’s pincushion swaps mailed off. The owl is a finger “ring” pincushion from Embroidery Garden. She has lots of “in the hoop” projects that stitch really well. The snowflake design is from Embroidery Library. This is another of my favorite places with designs that stitch really well.
Changed out one of my Garden Party Wristlets to a contrasting bow. Much better.
And…I have my first quilting bee retreat coming up. I’ve been cutting a BIG stack of projects. I’m excited can you tell?
Have a wonderful holiday weekend.
Don’t get lost in the crowded malls.
I’ve been busy designing my spring classes but I did get some personal sewing time in this weekend.
This is a Christmas gift. I don’t usually go for panels but I fell in LOVE with these fabrics. The pattern was Dream Weaver by the Creative Sewing Center. I haven’t quite decided what to border it with yet. Any ideas?
Here are two Garden Party Wristlets by Michelle patterns. Aren’t they the cutest little bags!!!
And my pincushion swap arrived. It’s a wrist pin cushion. I LOVE it!!!
Enjoy you day!! Don’t let the upcoming holidays stress you!
