I have created a gift card holder using the Tim Holtz Pocket Envelope and the Festive Greenery Decorative Strip die. At the moment the Funkie Junkie Boutique is closed and will reopen January 20, 2013. Linda is moving and it is quite the undertaking. I have used burlap string and the tiny clothespin from the Funkie Junkie Boutique. There are not many steps in making these cute gift card envelopes. You can see the open cut out before gluing it together. I used scor-tape to adhere and then added my embellishments, it was super easy to make and will be great for gift card giving this Christmas. Hope you have a wonderful weekend...enjoy!

Step x Step: Let It Snow
Good morning friends, it is Teresa bringing you today's step x step. I am sharing some of the gorgeous and shabby Melissa Frances embellishments. I adore snowflakes and Melissa Frances has some chipboard snowflakes that you embellish yourself(they are sold out now), so sweet!
This is right after I lifted the paper, I was not worried about the edges; it does not have to be perfect to be shabby. I want to distress the ends anyway with ink, so bare cardboard will be covered in a shabby fashion.
I also covered them with Tim Holtz glitter and then I added the Melissa Frances paper garland to the center; and yes it is pink! A little more frilly and girly.
I completed my card with more goodies from the Funkie Junkie Boutique, the lace trim,
Melissa Frances Chrismtas Flashcards , and the pink ribbon. The pink ribbon is what some of my goodies where wrapped in when I placed my order, I surely can't waste it...teehehehe. The pink jingle bells I also made, spray painted them and covered them in Glossy Accents, and the Tim Holtz glitter. I am so luvin the pink, a true frilly..*grin*. Have a super day and be sure to stop by The Funkie Junkie Boutique and pick up your Melissa Frances goodies today!

Saturday Step x Step:Snowflake Rosette Tag
Good morning F&F friends I am sharing today's step x step. I have made a tag, you know Linda is challenging us to the 12 Tags of Christmas, I hope you can join us here. I was inspired by the snowflakes. I wanted to make snowflake rosettes very cute I think!
I have cut out the rosettes using the Tim Holtz Mini Rosettes Die. I luv placing all of my elements on my work table; this is the designing process and most of us luv it!
I have folded all of the rosettes and glued the circle pieces to the rosettes. I cut the snowflakes from a heavy duty watercolor paper, I luv he texture of this paper.
I am adding the Tim Holtz glitter here....did I tell ya how much I luv this glitter..... A LOT!
Here is my tag, after I have used the Tim Holtz distressed stain.
I stamped the tree image, luv these trees! Added the piece of burlap and stitched it place. Preparing to place the rosettes and add the ribbon and burlap bow.
A perfect Christmas tag, especially for the men in your life. Not super fancy, but yet very homey and handmade. Be sure to stop by The Funkie Junkie Boutique and check out the new arrivals and must have tools, stamps, ink, and embellies!

Saturday StepXStep:Burlap Envelope
Good morning friends and welcome to the weekend, it is Teresa popping in to share today. On Saturday's around here we share a Step x Step project with you. I have a super simple, yet super fun and so very sweet little creation to inspire you with today!
This is the finished sweet and simple burlap envelop/gift satchel. I can't think of anything that goes any better together than burlap, a flower, and a rusty heart, can you?
I started with a piece of burlap, size 8x8; but you can use any size depending on how small or large you want your finished envelop to be.
I then used Scor-Tape to adhere it all together. I folded up the bottom corner, added the tape strips and then folded in the sides.
Here is a photo with the sides folded in and the top flap still open.
You can use a old safety pin, a tiny clothes pin, a button with a piece of twine, or a simple glue dot to hold the flap down. Decorate until your heart is content, I kept mine simple and sweet. Be sure to head over to The Funkie Junkie Boutique and pick up your supplies to make your very own envelopes. These would be perfect this Christmas for gift cards, too cute!

Saturday StepXStep: Rolled Flowers
Happy weekend to all of our Frilly and Funkie readers, it is Teresa and I am sharing how to make rolled flowers. You can use just about anything you can roll, it would be fun to use things you would not normally think of using. I have used burlap and fabric for my card today.
I took the piece of burlap and fold it over, I cut off the frayed edges. You can cut it any length you want, the longer the burlap/fabric the larger your flower.
I ran a stitching down the side, but you can use Scor-Tape to adhere the material too. The Scor-Tape will make your fabric thicker, keep this in mind when deciding which way you will adhere. I did not want my flower to be any thicker since the burlap is thick so I stitched it.
I used a Gluber dot to roll my burlap unto, twisting and tuning any way you want. That is the beauty of making these flowers, you can't go wrong. I have also used a small circled piece of card stock and glued as I went too. I have not done that since the Glubers came out though, much easier!
I prepare the base of my card; distressing and stitching. I lay my card out on my work table and piece it all together, making changes as it comes together.
Again, here is everything before adhering down and still figuring out the placement of all my embellies...the fun and exciting part!
Here is a close up of the tiny fabric flowers, I used black seam binding for the leaves. You can see all the shabby goodness in the flowers and ribbon.
Here is my completed card and all the awesome Funkie Junkie Boutique items I used on my card. Be sure to check out the items that are discounted even more this week, you can find them here. I hope your weekend is full of creating time, don't forget to leave a little time for shopping!

Saturday StepXStep:Making Bows
Hello Frilly & Funkie fans, it is Teresa Kline bringing you today's step by step. I am going to show you how I make my bows. I have used white seam binding that has been dyed with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink. I used the ink pad and a sponge to add color to the white ribbon.
Here I am showing the ribbon across the card before I add the bow. I attach the ribbon to the back of the card with my tape runner.
I pinch the ribbon in between my fingers making as many loops as the size bow I want. Today I have made only two loops on each side of the bow.
Once I am finished with the loops, I cut a smaller piece of ribbon, lay it across the center of the bow.
I then flip it onto my work surface and bring the ends up and tie it all securely together.
Here is my completed card and below a list of all the Funkie Junkie products I used...happy shopping! Oh, I almost forgot don't forget to check out the gorgeous new lace.....swoooooon...I am luving these new laces and they are on sale.....wow!

My Creative Journey
Hello frilly and funkie friends....I am Teresa Kline from Paperie Blooms; my creative journey is expanding and I super excited to share it with you! I am so looking forward to our new challenges and learning all kinds of new things from the DT and you. I have been creating cards for five years, I started after a Stampin Up party and it has exploded from there. I have been on numerous design teams in the past; Sweet and Sassy, Stampers Dream. I have held guest spots for Our Daily Bread, My Time Made Easy, and Layers of Color. I am currently on the Verve and Lil' Inker design teams and I am a SCS Dirty Dozen alumni. I am on several challenge teams Mojo Monday Sketch, Waltzingmouse Sketch, CASE Study and now Frilly & Funkie. I have also guested for lots of challenge teams as well; The Color Throwdown, Just Us Girls(twice), Shabby Tea Room, Friday MashUP, Stampin Sisters in Christ, and For Your Inspiration to name a few. So from the list you can see I luv to stamp and create! I like sending my cards to people in our church, friends, neighbors, anyone who needs encouraging; I also donate lots of cards.
As far as style, I do not like to "label" myself...lol...I truly luv all styles of creating! But, I have been told that I tend to be on the shabby/chic style. I adore, stitching, distressing, button, bows, lace, and frills....so I guess you could say I am a frilly girl...teehehehe. I am looking soooo forward to this team, the adventure, and expanding my style. I look forward to getting to know you and I hope that you are inspired by my work!
