Fair

We went a couple of times and really enjoyed it every time. Of course, there were LOADS of people and the girls didn't really want to sit still but, the girls learned to deal with it and I learned to appreciate how good they really are. I enjoyed getting outta the house and seeing Gus for a few minutes. Right now I can hear someone snoring so we must of tuckered them out pretty good. I love hearing her even breathes, there is something magical about it and knowing she is alive and healthy and my little girl, words can't describe.

*edit* ohh, ya and how could I forget this pic from the fair...

Felt Food

So there I was sitting by my girls little play kitchen when I realized the poor things don't have very many props for playing house. I have been wanting to make some felt food for them and so I decided to start today. Anyone else who wishes join is more than welcome! I started with a cup cake which turned out ok but now I am making fried eggs and possibly sugar cookies. We are watching a scary movie and I hate scary movies so I don't wanna pay close attention this will give me something else to think about. If you want all the tutorials I am going to work on click here. Then you might have to scroll down till you see them and please let me know how yours go and if you see any other cute tutorials! Anyways much love, and Chennelle I will continue to pray for you

Quiet Book Page: Keys

Ok, so for this page all I did is take an old pair of jeans and cut out the pocket with the belt loops and all. Then I sewed the square to my page with a zig zag stitch, I did leave the top open so there's a big pocket in the back for anything I feel like later. Now I stick little treats in the pockets and put the key chain on the belt loop. Anything close to this will work. P.S. I didn't actually put any keys on this I might put one but it's a quiet book toy and knowing my girls keys wouldn't be quiet! haha little stinkers

Blessed Day

I think I had the MOST wonderful day today. Nothing special happened, we went to church ate roast for dinner and played outside. It was in these small ordinary things that I took the greatest pleasure though. As we ate out DELISH dinner, which Gus helped me prepare, I was again reminded of how much I love Sunday dinners and always want to have them at our house. I know this might sound kinda silly but I find something so tender about cooking things that I will raise my girls on. For example, when I make dinner and I can imagine them saying 'moms making enchiladas tonight' or how wonderful moms homemade bread tastes. Just because it's moms bread and she made it for you when she could have easily boughten it at any grocery store. I still love my moms bread! Anyways, the second part of wonderful is from playing outside. We played with side walk chalk and ate popsicles, the TV stayed off all day while we enjoyed eachothers company. Pictures below which are ADORABLE! if I may say so myself. I hope there are many more days like this to come.

DaadY, mammamamammama

The girls have FINALLY started saying a few words. Everyone said I was going to wish they would stop once it started but honestly they were talking before now it just isn't English is was McKa-ese. The doctor told us it would take longer since they can communicate effectively with each other they don't feel the drive like other babies. Anyways Kaya's first word was 'mamamma' and McKenna's was 'hi' and then 'daaddY'. Now I can begin to hear fragments of 'tank you' (McKenna) and 'tis' (Kaya). McKenna has started crying 'mammamma' when she wants to be held. What they won't say is 'up please' and 'down please' or 'more'. We are trying to give them a little motivation to speak.
Lately they have grown so much, they are quite effective runners, McKenna has three teeth and is working on her 4 upper while Kaya has 2 and just barley cut the other 2 up top. They have hit a growth spurt recently they have gotten so much bigger.
Personalities are just getting better and better; Kaya is a little more outgoing than McKenna. McKenna is so shy, but so independant. Unless she isn't feeling 100% then she just wants to be held and cuddled close. They both love books I think we read about 5 books a day upon their request. I have no problem with that. I love to read and hope to nurture that in them.

Boise

We went to Boise for a family reunion and had a lot of fun. We took the girls swimming for the first time and I am so excited to say that they LOVED it! (Kaya is in the Blue and Mckenna in the pinky-orange suit)

My day was WONDERFUL~

Yes, those are home-made doughnuts and yes, they were just as delicious as they look. If you want the recipe just ask, it wasn't really hard and worth every bit.
