Birthday Boy

This kid turned five this month! He is still the same busy, happy, relentless, helpful (but not always:)), silly, funny boy he has always been. I don't know what life would be like without Carter. A lot of what we do and the things we plan revolve around him. What is Carter going to do there? Where will be able to contain him? Will he get in to too much trouble? (Some trouble is inevitable with this kid!) :) We wouldn't change a thing about him though! He is going to go far in life just because he never gives up!

He is actually looking at the camera, which is always a good thing when trying to get a picture of him. :) On a side note, Ashlynn decorated his presents so there are fun stickers and writings all over the boxes.

He was pretty happy with his cake and I was pretty proud that a) I made it vs. buying one and b) it is out of the pan. I have never done that before! Maybe next time I will actually try and do something besides a rectangle. Probably not, but maybe!

Soccer Girl Ash

This cute girl is playing soccer this Spring for the first time. She is loving it and I am grateful she is having so much fun!

We went to the first ever General Womens Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was such a great meeting. Ash wasn't quite eight yet, but she will be by the next one so I figured she wouldn't want to miss this historic event.

Ashlynn drew this family picture and I LOVE it! Her blonde hair, baby Blake in my arms and Easton rollin' on the ground like usual. It is pretty accurate and that's what makes it so great!

Tade's 4th Grade Program

This year in 4th grade, Tade has been learning all about the great state of Utah. So a few weeks ago all of the 4th grade classes came together to teach us about all they had learned through song and dance. :) It was a great program. Tade was a zookeeper/pioneer. His line was something about finding his snake (which was a giant plastic snake "slithering" behind him. He also got to hold the "T" in the final number. He is a great kid. We love having him in our family! On a side note: his hat is actually from Australia, his shirt is a way too big size 12 and his pants were floods because they were too small, but hey, that's the beauty of a 4th grade program; they don't have to look professional. They are all just cute how ever they are!

Baby Blake's Firsts

This little guy has gotten more baths than all my other babies combined. He LOVES them and I love having him smell all fresh and clean.

He isn't really smiling at all, but this picture kind of looks like it so I had to post it. I love his big blue eyes. He has really started focusing on my face and I love soaking up all that wisdom in his eyes.

This is his one month picture. He is almost 2 months now. I can't believe how fast time flies!

Blake Leland

Baby Blake came almost a month early, which was a great surprise! He was a tiny little guy at 5 pounds 9 ounces and 18 inches long. He is named after his great Grandpa Leland Gappmayer, whom we love so much! We love having Blake in our family.

Christmas 2013

Tade started the Christmas Club at our house. In case you can't read it, it says, "Christmas club is here! In this club we sleep in forts, play games and a lot more!! Sine (sign) name if going in club. Please knock." All of us but Dad signed up, but he is the one the ended up building the fort and playing most of the games. :)

Playing the Wii. Also played a lot of card games and board games. I love that the kids are old enough to get the games and we can all hang out together.

Fun Christmas morning. Santa gave us all running shoes. The kids weren't super impressed, but I thought it was nice. ;)

My favorite thing about Christmas this year was that we had the kids buy presents for each other. They were so excited to give them to each other. I loved how they thought so much about each other and not themselves. It was great!
