Oldhammer Weekend USA: Lootz Iz Gotz

So I better get my Oldhammer weekend posts wrapped up. Today is a short one. I will spare you so you can save up for the last battle report.

Here why don't I just show off the loot I scored. ;)

I have been collecting the old paint set boxes.  This was the last one I was after.

This thing is pretty sweet!  Now I just need to get my dreamhome built with my wargaming shed so I can have a room like this!

Morning Mailbag

The mail barons graced me with a bountiful bundle today!  First up is a box of Warhammer 2nd Edition.  I had this before but got rid of it a few years back when I needed some cash.  Regretting it lately I decided to score another.  This one is in a lot better shape.

I had never really looked it over either, just sat on the admiring shelf.  I am going to pour over this the next couple of nights and grab some ideas and inspiration. 

New toys and some idea riffing

Got these in the mail today from Daniel Honoré Pryn over on the Oldhammer Trading Facebook page.  Can't wait to get some paint on them.  Looks like Black Vasken's crew is growing a bit.  At least Nigel will get a brother.  I also have a few other goodies on the way as well.  Can't wait!

This came in the mail today.  Huzzah!  Hooray!  So a quick little comic for you all.  I will get it painted post haste.

I'm not sure if it will be friend or foe yet.  It might become both we will see.

Also picked these up from warpainter.  After comment from Andrew Dyer on the forum reminded me of them.  I have tried them out, and must say I have found my Devlan Mud replacement!

Oldhammer U.S.A. loot

So Blue has given an excellent overview of the weekend as a whole.  I could only echo is commentary.  Let's just say I had a blast, and it was really good to visit and put face's with names.  So on to the loot.  Blake aka Kaaleb Hordes handed out the event mini Bolydirk, thanks Foundry and Kev Adams for this treasure that's him in the center.

As for the rest I scored these on the cheap, no citadel marauder oldhammer RoC propainted then dissolved with simple green oop  1000.00 by it now prices here!

So what did I get well.  I got Slambo up there in the middle, as well as the two chaos warriors on each of his flanks.  I also scored the chaos knight torso with pigtails, to add some more estrogen to my chaos forces.  Lastly I snagged the  Terminator captain on a whim, just because.....well because Don Sargent got me fired up to play Space Hulk!

On a side note, with an 11 hour drive on the way home it gave me sometime to think.  I got a crazy notion to remount my whole chaos army on 30x30mm bases or 30x60mm bases for the cavalry.  Several of my figures have swords sticking out at weird angles that 25mm bases make extremely tight to rank up sometimes. So just wanted to see what anyone thought about this idea before I started removing all my figures!
