Colour Inspiration - Blue Hydrangea

The Blue Hydrangea Fabric Flower pack provides great inspiration for beach and outdoor craft projects:

Nice clean blue with soft ivory and cream go so well with the ribbons chosen here:

pale blue double sided satin, ivory burlap, pale blue pleated organza and ivory double sided satin.

Card by Paper Dreams Scrapbooking

Belinda from Paper Dreams Scrapbooking sent through this lovely card and box which is just blooming with our flowers (paper and ribbon too).

She has used our pineapple paper in Salmon and Blush (which you can see punches nicely) together with the silver and dusky pink crushed organza. The flowers used are pale pink burlap flower with button, pale pink heirloom (4cm) and dusky pink heirloom (4cm), pale pink lace flower with pearl and white primula. All together a very feminine and special way to celebrate a birthday.

Colour Inspiration - Boys Own

Just because we deal with flowers and ribbons and other pretty things does not mean that our products cannot be masculine...it's all about how the colours are bought together and here is one example using our vertical stripe double sided satin ribbons in gunmetal,ivory, midnight blue, olive and latte with our new burlap leaves and string edged burlap flowers:

Colour Inspiration - Beach

It's summer in the Southern Hemisphere and the beach is the place to head if you are lucky enough to be on holidays or live close by...and the beach is the inspiration for this weeks colour combo. Neutrals such as ivory, white and natural combined with royal blue, blue and yellow.

Lollipop, lollipop

Our long awaited shipment of new ribbons has finally arrived! We will post pictures of them as soon as they have been unpacked, but for your viewing pleasure until then, here are some examples of how our Lollipop flowers can be used.

We've taken the hard work out of making satin circle flowers and have a lovely range of colours available: white, ivory, purple, red and black. Each consists of a stack of circles finished off with a centre of beads:

"I wanted to add texture to the page without distracting from the photo, so neutral colours are perfect. Usually I would have gone for brown tones, but I didn't want them to disappear into the new lovely wide burlap so used the silver grey petals with black and cream stamens. I'm loving the stamens, I can create lovely flowers with all the petals that I've bought over the years. I added a few pops of colour with the Washi tape, Damask flower and Tutu flower."
