Long Tall Santa

Hi Bloggers.

I have a Christmas card for you today made up from leftover demo bits -

For the background, I used a square piece of Coconut White Card cut using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares. I popped a little Tarnished Gold CS Shimmer Paint onto my Craft Sheet. I picked it up onto a Natural Sponge and dabbed it all over my background. I repeated the process with Silver CS Shimmer Paint. Next, I popped some Victorian Red CS Shimmer Paint onto my Craft Sheet. I picked it up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and dabbed it through the Pine Needles Mask. I also edges the card with the Victorian Red Paint. I matted onto Black Card and then anouther piece of Coconut White.

I stamped the sentiment from the Woodware Long Tall Santa Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Onyx Black Versafine Ink and embossed using CS Matt Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Sue's Double Pierced Squares and added it to my card using CE Mounting Cushion.

I stamped my stanta from the Long Tall Santa Die Set onto Coconut White Card using Onyx Black Versafine Ink and embossed using CS Matt Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Victorian Red Shimmer Paint, Opaque White and Black Sakura Glaze Pens, Tattered Rose Distress Marker and Diamond Snow Glitter Jewels. I added Santa to my card using CE Mounting Cushion.

Woodware Butterfly Collage

Hi Bloggers.

Francoise Read has shows on Hochanda today (and Phill Martin is continuing with his One Day Special) so I thought I'd share a simple card that I made using one of Francoise's stamps at the demo I did recently at Domino Crafts.

I started by adding Distress Oxides - Fired Brick, Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber, to a piece of Coconut White Card. I misted a little water into my hand and 'clapped' over my card to create little splats. I blotted with Kitchen Roll.

I made sure that my background was dry. I dusted with an Anti-Static Bag and stamped the Woodware Butterfly Collage using Onyx Black Versafine Ink. I added CS Matt Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.

I edged my piece with Vintage Photo Oxide using a Smoothie. I added highlights and coloured in the butterflies using a Clear Stardust Pen.

I matted onto Black Card using CS Glue and then onto a Coconut White Card blank using CE Mounting Cushion.

I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock on my website from Francoise's shows. You can find them here. You need to enter FRANCOISE in the discount code box at checkout. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last.

Phill has One Day Special shows at 9am, 1pm and 5pm today. I'm also offering 10% discount on items from his shows. You can find them here. You need to enter PHILLMARTIN in the discount code box at checkout. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last.

You can only enter one code in the box per order. If you place more than 1 order today and you are charged postage, I will refund the postage if the total value of both of your orders is over £25. It will probably be Sunday when I action all refunds.

Thanks for stopping by.

Santa in Blue on a Pixie Textured Background

Hi Bloggers.

My favourite Santa is making an appearance on this card -

For the background, I popped the North Pole Mask onto a piece of Coconut White Card and secured it with some Low Tack Tape. I spread CS Clear Texture Paste through it. Leaving the mask in place, I worked quickly, sprinkling Aubergine Dream and Aqua Lagoon Pixie Powders over. I removed the mask and washed it under the tap and put my background aside to dry (approx 2 hours). Once dry, I edged it with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide using a Smoothie. I matted onto Black Card and then onto Coconut White Card.

I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Pad. I stamped the elements from the Woodware Cheeky Santa Stamp Set using Onyx Black Versafine, added CS Matt Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. I coloured Santa's face by scribbling a little Tattered Rose Distress Marker onto my Craft Sheet and picking the colour up with a Water Brush. I coloured his furry bits on his hat using Opaque White Sakura Gelly Roll Pen adding CS Diamond Snow while the ink was still wet. I coloured hit hat using Sky, Blue and Silver Sakura Stardust Pens. I edged his beard with Silver Stardust Pen.

I coloured the parcels using Sky, Blue, Pink and Silver Stardust Pens.

I cut the sentiment out using a die from Sue Wilson's Essential Pierced Rectangles. Leaving the die in place, I drew around the inside line with the Blue Stardust Pen.

Jane Gill has shows on Hochanda today with shows at 8am, 11am and 2pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Please Note : The discount is not automatic - you need to enter the code JANEGILL in the Discount Code Box at Checkout. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last.

Woodware shows on Hochanda today

Hi Bloggers.

I have shows on Hochanda today with part 2 of Jane Gill's Woodware Stamps. The shows are at 8am, 12noon and 4pm. I hope you can join me.

Here's today's card -

I used a paper from Lisa Horton's Christmas Wishes Paper Pad. I trimmed it down to fit in the Creative Expressions Frosted Window Embossing Folder, popped it inside and ran it through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine with the Tan Mat and the White Creative Expressions Embossing Plate. I sanded the embossed detail a little to reveal the white core and then edged with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide using a Smoothie. I matted onto Chestnut Card and then onto Coconut White Card.

I stamped the main image from the Woodware Prancer Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Onyx Black Versafine Ink and embossed with CS Matt Clear Detail Embossing Powder. I coloured him in using Vintage Photo and Fired Brick Distress Oxides by swiping some ink onto my Craft Sheet and picking it up with a Water Brush. I added some detail to the scarf and hat using a Sakura Clear Star Stardust Pen. I cut it out using scissors (I would usually cut out leaving a thin white border but I went utside the lines when colouring - lol!).

I added some Woodware Fluffy Stuff to the hat. I added some CS Diamond Sprinkles and tapped off the excess. I then heated it with a Heat Tool and it puffed up! I don't think I'll ever tire of seeing that happen 😀

I cut die #1 and #2 together from Sue Wilson's Noelle Frame Die Set out of another paper from Lisa's Paper Pad. I glued this directly onto my background using a Woodware Fine Tip Glue Applicator filled with CS Glue. I cut die #4 and #5 from Sue's Holly Lattice Frame Die Set out of Coconut White Card to create a thin frame. I glued this directlly to my frame as shown. I added Prancer to the centre using Creative Expressions Mounting Cushion.

Icut a strip of Coconut White Card and inked it with Fired Brick Distress Oxide using a Smoothie. I then stamped the hoof print stamp from the same set using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide. I edged the strip with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide using a Smoothie.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set using Versafine Ink and embossed with CS Matt Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Sue's Pierced Tags Die Set and edged with a little Fired Brick and Vintage Photo Distress Oxides. I cut the little eyelet die in the set out of Coconut White Card. I pressed it into the Vintage Photo Oxide Pad, added Matt Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.

I swiped some Fired Brick Distress Oxide onto my Craft Sheet, misted it with water and added some Blue White American Seam Binding. I dried it with my Heat Tool and added it to my tag.

I completed my card by adding a 5mm White Pearl to each corner.

I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last. Discount will be applied automatically at checkout.
