Victoria and Pot latch, March

The above slide show is over our last two weekends. We stayed in Victoria, a three hour drive, for two days. We went through a lot of museums and enjoyed the outside views. This last weekend we went to a pot latch for the first nations. We stayed for only a day because hotels were booked but we got to enjoy a full day of traditional song and dances. There was a huge bon fire in the middle of the long house so we were pretty smoked out by the end of the night.

These two pictures are of the house Devin made from the drift logs. He is so talented and I can't believe he lifted all those logs by himself. Oh yeah, Clay did help. I found them on my drive home from hiking with a friend. People stop to see his house. We are trying to leave our mark before we have to leave.

A night away in February!

Devin and I were secret shoppers at Crown Isle Golf Resort. We left Clayton behind for the first time. He and Shayla had a fun time together and when we got back he acted like he didn't even miss us. We had a huge room with a kitchen, living room, bedroom with a separate hot tub, and a surround powered shower. We ate out at the restaurant. Our bill came to over a $100. Then in the morning. We played boccie ball...does it get any better. And it was all for free. Devin wrote up a list of pros and cons, which the managers really liked and want him back to help them as they are hiring and training some new employees. (We hope we didn't get anyone fired.)

Clayton is 2!

We gave Clayton a fish party for his Birthday. It was a good idea but a bit difficult with a house full of 1,2, and 3 year olds. We had fun playing find the fish on the balloons, pin the tail on the fish, and coloring fish. We finished with a fish cake made by my talented husband. You'll have to look at the video below to see how excited he was at his party.

My two year old victory dance!

What have we been up to?

Again Shayla and I went on an adventure. We hiked to Ripple Rock. The picture doesn't do justice to the beautiful outlook we had. We were also higher than two flying eagles.

Shayla and I went mountain biking. Mostly we laughed at ourselves, which added to the great work out.

We had a progressive dinner with our ward. It was a lot of fun!

I had a pizza and jewelery making party with the girls in my primary class. Aren't they cute! They are such good girls. (Do you like our decor?)

Clayton likes to put his fingers in pen caps. One day he insisted on wearing them to nap. He makes us laugh at his corkiness!
