Austin Pictures

Our lives have been pretty hectic for the past 12 days and so we have not been able to post as often we know our families and friends would like. Here are some photos of our adorable son, Austin.
"Enormously Adorable"

Bath time

Catching a few Z's

Cooking lunch

First piece of mail

Evening nap

Showing off his "breech" legs

Just being cute

Here is some video of Austin sleeping. I had no idea that a sleeping baby could be so cute. The first part of the video shows off his awesome smile. Make sure that your volume is turned on because after he smiles it switches to another scene where he is just making the the cutest noises while he sleeps.

We will post more the next time we find a few free minutes. Who knows when that will be. We love being parents, but it is all consuming.

Austin

Austin, who? Austin Edwin Wilde. Austin was born Tuesday April 13th at 7:16 a.m. He weighed in at 7 lbs and 1 oz (as you will see in the picture he was really 1.6 oz I am not sure why they rounded down), and 20 inches in length. We are now home enjoying our precious bundle sent from heaven. Enjoy the pictures of his Royal Cuteness, as we sometimes call him.

Okay, this first one is not of his Royal Cuteness, but I just wanted to show all of the other husbands the miracle of an epidural. This picture was taken shortly after Laura's epidural was put into place. 7 hours into labor and a great big friendly smile. Thank you modern medicine. Right after this picture I was able to take an hour nap while Laura relaxed and we waited for Austin to work his way down. Now, enjoy his Cuteness.

If any of you have a Skype account we would love to introduce him to you live. Just email and ask for our account name.

Bracket Results

First the bad news, then the good news. Bad news: The baby and I did not win the family NCAA bracket contest. I thought we had a pretty foolproof method, didn't you? The good news is the extra testosterone must have played a part in this year's success as we ended up tying with Joseph's two brothers for second place. That's right... second place. That's the closest I've ever come to winning the bracket. We had 64 total points, which was only 8 points behind the winner - Joseph - who had 72. Not too shabby for the little guy's first round of March Madness because, let's face it, I owe most of the success to his cute little kicks anyway.
