The warm sunshine has certainly brought the garden alive. Flowers opened, a butterfly flitted across the pond and Mr Robin was singing away on the wooden arch. I worked in the garden for most of the morning and afternoon.
Before it was too hot I baked some cupcakes. At first it did not go to plan as the chocolate I was going to use to melt and put into this new button mould had disappeared from my baking cupboard.
I had some chocolate stars in the cupboard that had not disappeared so I used them instead.
Then in the late afternoon I sat down in the sunshine and dipped into The Morville Hours by Katherine Swift . Just the right book for a day such as this. I love this book and I loved today.
