The weather has been so bad that I have had to rearrange venues for visits that are indoors. Usually at this time of year I like to visit gardens. So ,for me a visit to a Gallery in inclement weather is a good alternative as I love paintings. This week we went to The Watts Gallery near Guildford Surrey. That took us on the M25 there but as there were huge jams on sections of it we came back via the country roads which was so enjoyable.
The Watts Gallery houses a collection of the art of G.W.Watts and is well worth a visit. As is the tea room. I had lapsang tea and a toasted tea cake while Mr had hot chocolate as he was freezing cold. He never feels the cold so it just lets you know how low the temperature was for May.
Finished a cushion Yipeeee.
And the wisteria is out in my garden.
At last I have finished knitting my bed jacket using a Vintage pattern from 1933. The yarn I used was Millamia a soft Merino in the shade of Petal. It was a great yarn to use as it was sooooo soft.
I went to a yarn shop and these yarns caught my eye . Haven't decided what to use them for yet . This is Louisa Harding Willow Tweed.
