Her applikert og brodert etter The Freckles Collection Design

Another finish Angel Story

I am finished with my Angels Story….Thanks to Stina and here deadlines!
This has been so fun to do. I got new friends, a new quilt and lots of good memories.
The quilt has got a big label with the whole story about the Angel club members and the way to go from start to finish. It is Merete at sy.no that has quilted it for me.

Thanks Stina for having this club. I have had fun all the way thru.

A gift from Stina

Here in spring Stina and May Britt started this Angel club and I joined in. I love Angels special those with white wings …LOL. These girls had started on the quilt An Angels Story a time a go, and wanted to help them selves to reach some goals to get the quilt finish. The first one was to finish up stitching the angels. I hadn’t started jet but I turned around and started to sew.

The first goal was finishing the top before 1 October this year and Stina had a drawing for us who reached it. I with my luck I WON ……. What a surprise

This is what Stina send me in the mailbox. Isn’t I lucky……. a real nice pincushion to make.
Thanks a lot Stina for making me do this quilt and for joining in and for the lovely gift to me THANKS THANKS XOXOXOXOXOX to you!

Part three in the Angel Story

Look Aase The flying school part is finish! She just love the story about the little boy eating to much of chocolate that he couldn’t fly…. So do I.The stories are so cute following in the book to each block of Angels.
I have some time with my sewing machine today and the Angel Story is soon all done. Part four is already started. I haven’t done it before, but perhaps I try quilting as you go….I will make it a bit bigger than the original because I want it to fit for my bed in my new bedroom.

More Elverum

I have started cutting my blocks for the quilt.

I chose to cut the blocks in rectangles and some squares. The frames are also changed .I have taken the inner frame 1/4 smaller and the other ¼ wider.
I puzzle out the first squares.

Here is the first one finished

So far for this time

This gave me a real kick and the other angels too I think. They call me a fast stitcher and yes I got hocked up in it LOL. This doing, angels together is so giving

Angels meeting in Elverum

I feel so privilege to know these lovely angels May Britt, Hanne, Anne Ida and Bjørg (no blogger). We had a new sleepover and together with Fiona too. It was so fun. I am filled with a lots of Q vitamins.
Hanne and I picked up Anne Ida in the morning and drove up to May Britt in Elverum. She had made “angels” buns to us. The buns have become our tradition, but they had to wait a little time before we could eat them here at the veranda.

There is a quilt shop in Elverum "Lille Stasjon"and of course we had to take a trip over before it closed for the day. We had to spend some money you know LOL

Hanne is always the first of us to blog and here you understand why…. She is blogging from her phone LOL

Anne Ida is shopping by phone contact with Rose in Australia to find the right measurement of fabric to a quilt. No friends are far away any longer in our technical world LOL

This weekend we meet Bjørg too and her angels. They are so gorgeous.

We spread out all our angels so far. What a lovely sight Haven’t we been doing a great job!!!!

My last four angels are paste into fabric. It is so fun to stitch them. I,ll start to cut my square slowly now and put them on my design wall so I can find border colors around the angles.

Two wonderful days with lovely angels

Saturday came with warm and sunny weather together with three wonderful angles, Anne Ida, May Britt and Hanne. We occupy the porch with all our sewing stuff. Just a few minutes after we sat down the talk and the needle where going fast. We are all bloggers and the first to do was shooting my plates with angels LOL. You see them here at May Britt’s blog

Suddenly it started to rain so we went inside continue to stitch and eat.
May Britt didn’t have the”real” order in here thread so her we sat to work. Her excuse was not to have these bobbins, but you know that’s not a problem I had some.LOL She has started and soon I think we will see her boxes with nice and tidy thread

Dinner time - all angels.
May Britt have started on her angels a long time ago Here they are so nice and well done

Hanne has just started with hers, but look how nice they are. She use a little bit lihter fabric than May Britt.
Anne Ida has chosen these lovely green and blue all over. These was just fabulous. Love to see this finished up.
Here are mine angels. I started mine shortly, but this was so fun and I stitch everywhere to be finished in end of September for Stina’s challenge.
To quilt with other angles are something I do propose you to do It is fun and encouraging

I enjoyed your stay Angle girls and looking forward to see you next time in Elverum at May Britt’s place. It is a bit sad though that it is so faraway from Stina and Marcia so they cannot join us, but you are in our thoughts you Swedish angles.

I love my angels

I just love those angles. Football at the TV is OK now I have started with my angels. I am sitting with my boys and hear the EM football and make my angles. You see I use a lot of time hearing football. LOL

I got empty for the background fabric. Robert Kaufman Screen prints d# 5573. Are there somebody out there having a ½ yard to spare with me?
