Persuasive Percussion 1,2,3 (Remaster) (2013)

I appreciate these have been posted a thousand times on a thousand different blogs but I thought I'd stick them up as this is the recent(ish) remaster vinyl release for all three volumes.

Byron Parker - Nothing But Percussion (1961)

Now that the long hard winter is over perhaps I can get back into the swing of things again.  This is my one and only album by Byron Parker.  Listen to a snippet here.

Over the last few months I've had stacks of requests for reposts so I will try and start re-upping some albums over the next few days/weeks.  Apologies to all those I've not got back to.

Peter Appleyard - Percussive Jazz (1960)

"In a recording with so many varied percussive sounds, there is a violent interaction between the stylus and the abruptly changing route taken by the walls of the record grooves..."  Well, that's what it says on the back of the sleeve anyway.  I'll leave you to judge whether this record is a little too dangerous to listen to.
