Well, back again.   Can't believe it was Christmas when I last posted anything. 

Anyway, this is the excellent vinyl release of Man in a Suitcase, my favourite TV show from the 60s.  The well-known main theme was written by Ron Grainer, but the rest of the music from the series was written by the wonderful Albert Elms.

I'll try and crack on with the broken link requests over the next few days.

Ok, whilst I get round to recording a new stack of stuff I'll start by posting some requests for previous posts with collapsed links.  Here's the first, a lovely FP S2S album from the year of my birth, '65.

Byron Parker - Nothing But Percussion (1961)

Now that the long hard winter is over perhaps I can get back into the swing of things again.  This is my one and only album by Byron Parker.  Listen to a snippet here.

Peter Appleyard - Percussive Jazz (1960)

"In a recording with so many varied percussive sounds, there is a violent interaction between the stylus and the abruptly changing route taken by the walls of the record grooves..."  Well, that's what it says on the back of the sleeve anyway.  I'll leave you to judge whether this record is a little too dangerous to listen to.

I've only had this album for a week and it's already become a firm favourite, particularly the first track,  L'Onuri Di Ascaluni.   Big thanks for David.

Roberto Pregadio and Romano Mussolini - Satanik (1966)

Again, more apologies for the lack of posts.  This is another excellent soundtrack from Roberto Pregadio and Romano Mussolini.  Had a  lot of positive comments about Kriminal so hopefully you'll enjoy this one just as much.  Once again it's recorded from a picture disc so the quality isn't as good as it could be, but it's worth it.

Well after another hiatus I'm back with this thrilling soundtrack from Roberto Pregadio and Romano Mussolini and the 1966 film, Kriminal.  This wasn't available at the time and was recently released on vinyl and CD (which has more tracks).  This is the vinyl version, of course, but is pressed as a picture disc so the quality isn't as good, but is still a treat.

One of my absolute favourite albums and a truly remarkable lineup of New York's finest including Bill Potts and Zoot Sims.  Mine is a mono copy and I've been looking for a stereo copy for years, so if you have one, let me know.

Franck Pourcel - Americano Latino (1965)

Apologies for the lack of posts, been away.  Had a lovely time but disappointingly didn't get any records, which is unusual.

Nevermind.  This will get me back in the swing of things.  A lovely early S2S record which they tried to make all exotic for the mid-60s record buying public by adding the letter "O" to the end of every word.

Paul Mauriat - Latin Nights (1968)

Contains a great version of Perfidia.

Manuel and the Music of the Mountains - Magic Fountains (1968)

Nice LP from Geoff Love's alter ego.  Here's the title track.

Henry Mancini - The Best Of Henry Mancini (1964)

A classic to end the weekend.  Lujon.
