Queen of the house

Our queen Ms. Limo
just turned 6 years old on the 6th.

She recently received a new nickname
"supervisor" as she watches us and
people around pretty well. lol

Yes, she is the queen of the house for sure.

Here are some pictures of her
when she was a puppy from my old blog.

The above was taken on her day one
at our house when we adopted her
from the local Dachshund breeder.
Her bed looks huge, doesn't it?

She was so tiny and her coat was thin!!

This one was taken at her first vet visit.
Look at how small she was
in the doggie carrier tote!!

Once when she was taken into the room,
she got so nervous...

You can take a look at the rest of
her pics on her vet visit here.

This one was taken when she was about 10 weeks old.
Oops, I was in my PJs :O

Now she looks like this and
acts like that,
but we will be just happy
if she is as happy as we are
with good health...

Limo, Limo and more Limo,
everyday of our life.

P/S Someone asked the other day
how we named her as "Limo".

It's just because her body is so long
like a stretched limousine!

Holiday Collars Factory

Ms. Limo: Would you like to see
what's my mommy's been busy with?

Ms. Limo: Is she crazy or what?

Ms. Limo: I'm not sure about her any more lately.
Sigh...

Ms. Limo: Look all the collars for doggies & cats
she just finished making!
They are all made with the holiday fabrics.

Ms. Limo: And now she started playing with me.
Why am I wearing two collars?
One even doesn't fit my neck at all!
It's a huuuuuge one!!!

Ms. Limo: Ok, she said the big one is for
my new boyfriend Mr. C.
I have a play date with him later in this afternoon.

Limo's mommy: I used a special repro fabric
just for you and Mr. C!
Aren't you happy??

Ms. Limo: Ok mommy, I guess I suppose...

Limo's Dream Quilt

Limo's Dream Quilt - Disappearing 9 Patch
Size: 39"x 52"

Ms. Limo: Mommy finally finished MY quilt!

Ms. Limo: Is anyone would like to take a look at
the back side as well?
If you give me a yummy treat,
then I'll show you more ;)

I finished this one yesterday and
threw it into the washer/dryer last night
with these two small ones.

As for the machine quilting,
I decided to go with Free motion- stippling,
instead of the flower motives
what I originally planned
as I found I still need a lot more practices
before I can actually apply the flowers
onto the larger quilt.

I love the puffy vintage look a lot!!
Thanks Ms. H for a good advice :)

Ms. Limo: They are both mine, too.

Sorry, I have a little different plan though.
Here is a corner of our living room
where we have some of my framed works hanging.

And thie easel is supposed to be for
the "seasonal" framed work,
but it's been not changed since this applique...

So next time when I make something ,
a small seasonal quilt,
I will make sure to make it to fit in a frame
like some of the Lori Smith's patterns
so that I can enjoy it with just setting on the easel.

Well, it's that time again!
I'll be in Intense School to get certified with
something work related for the next few weeks,
till mid next month.
So my fun time with needlework
will be very limited and I'll put my blog
on vacation for a while.

I'll still post my progress of some projects
I've signed up for-
 One Flower Wednesday, Clamshell Club
and fun meetings during this period ;)

So see you all in a month
and have a wonderful summer!!

xoxo,
