Junk Art - Junk Yard Dog

Another "what is that?" moment. Oh, cool! It's a 1966 Plymouth Fury-turned-junk art!

Ha ha! I love this stuff!

The sign says "Welcome. The home of Bob Wade's Junk Yard Dog".

Even if this funky cigar-smokin' junk yard dog art piece on display at a San Antonio salvage yard doesn't impress you, Bob "Daddy-O" Wade's credentials will.

Thank you, Bob Wade, for creating this crazy lookin', googly-eyed pooch!

Big Pink Suit

I know what you're thinking..."that must be a mannequin in front of a Men's Wearhouse store", right? But it's NOT! Thank goodness. (I wish I had a dollar for every time I have heard their "You're gonna like the way you look. I guarantee it" commercial.)

It is actually a creation of Austrian artist Erwin Wurm. A 9-foot (2.75m) tall aluminum statue depicting a pink suit and white shirt. (Size 144).

It is located in Citygarden in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, which is an urban park and sculpture garden. Of all the many art objects there, I have to say that the "Big Suit" (it's official name) is, by far, my favorite!

Cadillac Ranch, Amarillo, Texas USA

This is a postcard of Cadillac Ranch back when you could still sort of tell that these vehicles were actual Cadillacs.

Here is what it looks like nowadays, after a Texas-sized rain drenching.

Empty spray paint cans are plentiful.

Including GIANT empty spray paint cans!

Admission is free. The only requirement to visit is to awkwardly navigate through this small gate in ankle-deep mud.

Let's take a closer look at what this sign says..........

Alrighty then!

There was a steady trickle of visitors coming and going while I was there. I imagine it's like that every day.

Here are a couple links providing everything you might want to know about Cadillac Ranch:
