Mein Quilt Bruch und Aufbruch wurde zum Wettbewerb Avant-Garde am Carrefour Euopéen du Patchwork im Elsass angenommen. Ich freue mich riesig darüber 😀.

My quilt Fracture and Forward was accepted to the exhibition Avant-Garde at the Carrefour Européen du Patchwork at the Alsace this autumn. Unless to say that I am very pleased.

Dann konnte der Spass beginnen indem ich die verschiedensten Garne in Kreisen aufnähte.

Then the fun part could start with couching all kind of fancy yarns on circles on it.

 Diesen Quilt habe ich noch gar nicht gezeigt, da er auch lange nicht gezeigt werden durfte, da er für einen Challenge von den Neftiquilter gemacht wurde und wir ihn erst diesen Winter/Frühling zeigen durften. Das Thema des Challenge war: "alles rund oder doch nicht". 

This quilt I haven't yet showed you because it was not allowed to show it because I made it for the challenge from the Neftiquilter and we were allowed to shown it this winter/spring. The theme of the challenge was "everything round or not".

Gestern konnte ich an meiner Ausstellung im Ortsmuseum in Neftenbach den ersten Quilt verkaufen. Es hat mich riesig gefreut, dass er nun ein neues zu Hause hat. Hier ist er:

Yesterday I could sell the first quilt at my exhibition in the museum in Neftenbach. It was a great pleasure that the little quilt found a new home. Here it is:

Seit Ende März stelle ich ca. 30 grössere und kleiner Quilts von mir im Ortsmuseum Neftenbach aus. Das Museum ist jeden Sonntag geöffnet und ich freue mich eine Auswahl meiner Quilts, welche in den letzten 15 Jahren entstanden sind öffentlich zu zeigen. Ich werde jeweils auf Instagram erwähnen, wenn ich am Sonntag persönlich in der Ausstellung anwesend sein werde.

Since the end of March I am showing ca. 30 bigger and smaller quilts from me in the museum in Neftenbach. On every Sunday the museum will be open and I am happy to show a selection of my quilts which have been made in the last 15 years. I will post on Instagram in advance when I will be there personally.

 Gegen 40 Quilts wurden für den diesjährigen Challenge «drei gleich weit entfernte Farben im Farbkreis von Itten» an der heutigen Generalversammlung von patCHquilt in Lugano ausgestellt. Auch mein Quilt Stägeli uf Stägeli ab war dabei.

Nearly 40 quilts of the challenge of this year "three colors in the same distance of the color round of Itten" have been displayed at the general meeting of patCHquilt today in Lugano.

 Ab heute könnt ihr den Quilt "live" am Carrefour Européen du Patchwork im Elsass in Ste Marie-aux-Mines sehen. Er wurde bei der SAQA Wide Horizon angenommen 😀.

From today you can see the quilt "live" at the Carrefour Européen du Patchwork in Ste Marie-aux-Mines. It was accepted into the SAQA Wide Horizon exhibition😀.

 In der Elfenau in Bern ist über dieses Wochenende eine sehenswerte Ausstellung. Auch ein Quilt von mir ist dabei. Wir erhielten Batikstoff von Indonesien, den wir in unseren Quilts einarbeiten mussten.

In the Elfenau in Berne there is a quilt exhibition. Also a quilt I made will be shown. We've got batik fabric from Indonesia which we had to use in the quilt.

17. Quilt Nihon Ausstellung / exhibition

 

Mein Quilt "Bonnboniere" wurde für die 17. Quilt Nihon Ausstellung in Tokyo angenommen und ich erhielt eine "Honorable Mention". Das freut mich natürlich sehr. Ich erhielt auch eine Einladung zur Eröffnungszermonie in Tokyo. Aber ich habe abgesagt. Falls ich einmal einen 1. oder 2. Platz erreiche, würde ich mir die Reise nach Tokyo sicher nochmals überlegen.

My quilt "Bonnboniere" was accepted for the 17th Quilt Nihon exhibition in Tokyo and I've got a "honorable mention". Of course I was very pleased. I even got an invitation to the opening ceremony in Tokyo but I couldn't go. If once I've get a 1st or 2nd place, then I sure would think about attenting the show in Tokyo again.

Das sind nun die fertigen Quilts. Es fehlt nun nur noch das Label und der Entscheid, welcher der beiden Quilts zu mir aufs neue Sofa kommt.

These are the two finished quilts. Now only the label is missing and my decision which one will join me on my new couch.

Dieser Quilt ist nun schon wieder ein Weilchen zurück von der Ausstellung Tradition und Moderne XII. Nun hängt er bei meinem Mami in der Wohnung.

This quilt is now back quite a while from the exhitition with the German Guild Tradition und Moderne XII. Now it is hanging in the appartment of my mother.

Der Quilt ist nun fertig. Da mich die Farben, welche ich verwendet habe an Kaugummis erinnern, der Name Bubblegum.

The quilt is now finished. Because the colors I used reminded me of bubblegum, therefore its name.

 Dieser Quilt hing ein Weilchen bei mir im Essbereich; nun ist er verkauft. Einem Freund hat dieser Quilt so gefallen, dass er ihn gleich gekauft hat. Eigentlich wollte ich ihn an einem Wettbewerb einreichen, was ich dann aber nicht tat.

This quilt was hanging in the dining room for a while. A friend liked this quilt so much that he bought it right away. So my intention to enter it in a contest had to be cancelled.

Eco Power

Am Samstag wurde dieser Quilt zusammen mit anderen, die an er Ausschreibung von patCHquilt "Red Shoes" mitgegmacht haben, an der GV gezeigt und nun bin ich natürlich auch gespannt, ob er weiterreisen darf nach Verona und im Herbst nach Friedrichshafen oder ob er nach der GV mein Wohnzimmer schmückt.

On Saturday this quilt was shown on the General Assembly of patCHquilt together with others who have also put a quilt into the call of patCHquilt for "Red Shoes". If it will be accepted it will travel further to Verona and in autumn to Friedrichshafen if not it sure will be decorating my wall in the living room.
