The road taken....

An inviting road...

The color is beginning...

This is from today...from over in Illinois.  There was more color in Paris, but no way to capture it so I took a took a long way home....and I stumbled across this scene.

there's a road......

There's a road--oh, it beckons and beckons.....

This road...

This road is the road that we traveled to get the photos for 5 out of the past 6 days.  The one with the grain elevator is from another year, another road.

This swamp area is where I photographed the Wood Ducks and the butterflies...

and it is also where I photographed these flowers.  I was too late to photograph the Button Bush.

The road goes on forever

I love the bend in the road...it always beckons me on and on.

Maybe not a motorway....

Running into my shots looking down the road almost always brings to mind the lines:

I am a one way motorway
I'm the one that drives away
Then follows you back home

They are from the song Times Like These by Foo Fighters. I just love that 'the one that drives away and follows you back home' part....think I have written this on my other blog some other time, but it the the lines run through my mind so many times, why not share them again.

Otherwise, do you think we are done with snow for the season? I am thinking we are!
