Miss Froggy

Well, I was "supposed" to work on something else but my froggy kept croaking at me to work on her instead. Actually, I've stitched quite a bit more on her since this photo. It's such a pain to get the photos and stuff to work on here so I'll wait till I'm at a good place on her to update the pic. I have also started kitting up another HaED, "Reading By Firefly Light". I have the fabric and most of the threads, I just need to grid. I'm hoping I can work on that unless Miss Froggy won't share my time again. ;-)

I was also supposed to try to pull out a TW (Teresa Wentzler) project for TWOctober but that hasn't quite happened yet. I feel like my job is interfering with my hobbies! Ha ha ha! But then, without the job, there wouldn't be any money for said hobbies. What a cruel and vicious cycle.

I went ahead and uploaded this photo as well. This is HaED's Fairy Frog Mother. I am really enjoying this one right now. I'm stitching her on 18ct Aida with 2 strands of floss. I had started another HaED on 28ct. 2 strands over 1 thread but I think the Aida is the way for me to go. I am dying to start on one of their Randal Spangler designs but I can't decide on which one. I just love his use of rich colors. Do I really need to start a new project? Of course not. ;) If I do though, it will probably be Reading By Firefly Light.

Progress!

Ok so I actually got a few stitches into Fairy Frog Mother. I lost my working chart for this so I had to print up a new one. Figuring out where I have/haven't stitched was a booger. So I finally just decided to work on the corner since I could figure that out pretty easily. I will probably work on Around the World in 80 Stitches next.

Here's What I've Been Up To

This is my latest progress on HaED's Fairy Frog Mother. I was stitching on her and then left the room. When I came back, I thought, "Hey! She has eyes!" Ha ha ha! I have trouble staying focased when there is alot of confetti stitching but I am loving these colors so it hasn't been too bad. 

 

 

Here is Joan Elliott's Crescent Moon Dragon. I really should post "before" photos with these but I'm feeling lazy right now. I love the colors in this one too. I am finding the fabric to be a little "slippery" in the q-snaps so I am having to constantly re-tighten while I'm stitching. I think it's lugana or jobelan, not sure which. I might have to put it on scroll rods.

 

I am now working on Frog Pile. I have decided that the only way for me to get any good progress on it is to "make" myself complete one frog at a time instead of skipping around. So to make it fun I have assigned names to each frog. Hee hee! i am currently working on Fred. 

 

 

 

Ok, I had to show you this! My dog Pete likes to sleep next to me while I stitch. And yes, more often than not, he sleeps with his tongue sticking out! Lol!
