Fishin' for a Happy Birthday...

Greetings all. In preparation for the Snowzilla storm they are expecting for the East Coast, I decided to make a card after prepping (aka food shopping and gas for the snow blower). One of the Giveaways from the 2015 My Favorite Things Crop with Cropper's Delight was from The Pearl Girl AKA Michelle Paolercio Borsack. As soon as I received the multi-colored pearls, I knew I had the perfect use for them. And here it is:

It allowed me to use a Stampin' Up stamp set I have had FOREVER, scrap paper and my new Washi tape (Silver Geometric from Close to My Heart). I used colored pencils and metallic gel pens to color the stamp. I just love it!! Thanks Michelle for your generosity that inspired my creativity. Please check her out on Facebook and share the love. Until next time....

Crafty Card Gallery's Sketch Blog Hop #2

Welcome to the 2nd Sketch Blog Hop. The first hop last month was so popular we decided to do it again!!! The purpose of this hop is to show how all of these talented bloggers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards. If you've never used a card sketch before, give it a try! Be sure to check back on Sunday, as there will be some bloggers posting cards on day 2. So sit back & be inspired! If you just happened on the hop, be sure to go to the first stop www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com so you can see the whole hop! Grab your favorite beverage and sit back & hop along with us! Here is the sketch:

I made the following card from this sketch:

Since my card was small I added the rhinestones in the corners instead of the two motifs. Here is what I used to make my card:

Stampin Up stamp, Markers, adhesive rhinestones, treat cup and patterned paper

Ribbon from the scrap pile

Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls embossing folder

Crayola markers and gel pens
Thanks for stopping by and your next stop will be Jackie.

Here is the complete lineup in case you get lost:

What a productive weekend.......

Happy Sunday!

I do not know where the weekends go! Even though I ran all weekend, I had a little bit of time to be creative the past two days. Yesterday was our Sat morning Stamping group that meets once a month. Had a wonderful time with our Creative Consultant, Julie and my fellow stampers, Nicole, Erin and Jean.

We made two projects yesterday. One was stamping with bleach and the otherwas a two step stamp set called "A rose is a rose". The bleach one was interesting as a background so I added patterned paper. I want to use the Create a Critter Cartridge when I order it....

Today while my daughter was at drama practice I decided to play with my new stamp set. It was a great deal as you got loads of stamps. I think there are 10 in total. Now I want to use it and stamp to make a sunflower with these Sweet Treats cups from Stampin' Up. They are fun to work with but I would have liked to see them a bit bigger. Let me know what you think....

Here is the up close of some of them.....

I hope that you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them. Until next time....

Happy Scrappin'

Sue
