These are our 'once-upon-a-time' days, where the courtyard bushes conceal the shoemaker's elves, where the long side-passage is filled with squelchy mud as we go on a bear hunt, where we take our red chairs and finger puppets into the bamboo 'forest' in the front garden waiting for the appearance of the giant-panda.
