Halloween at MY(P)WHAE, Part 1!!

Regular readers will be very familar with the amazing holiday sharity supplied each season by Lee Hartsfeld at his blog Music You (Possibly) Won't Hear Anyplace Else. Well, Christmas isn't the only holiday he's got a stash of cool records for that he's ready and willing to share...

From our Halloween/Horror companion blog Monster Rally...
Lee at Music You (Possibly) Won't Hear Anyplace Else has posted the first sharity of the Halloween season!

Lee says...
"...And, now, we have twelve terrific Halloween tracks to get spooked out over (if the stock market horrors of the past two days aren't enough). Half are repeats, and half are new to the blog. A few really odd ones, including Cliff (Delta Rhythm Boys) Holland's Tops label cover of The Thing (which, like many early Tops sides, sounds really bad), the Capitol University Cappette's Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte, and Lalo (Mission: Impossible) Schifrin's The Hautning, a 1963 instrumental inspired by the Robert Wise movie. Download with caution, for the sanity you lose may be your own!! Buwa-ha-haaaa!!"
...and, great news, this is only Part 1 !!

Hop on yer broom and let MY(P)WHAE help you get in the Halloween spirit!

It’s A Fanboy Christmas II: The Wrath of Claus

You Sound Like a Robot is holding a contest to win a free copy of The Great Luke Ski's latest filk* CD, "Baconspiracy". As an added bonus you can also grab a couple of tracks from the disc including the holiday themed "It’s A Fanboy Christmas II: The Wrath of Claus"!

* Filk? You may well ask... there are, apparently, loads of slightly competing definitions but here, courtesy of Debbie's Filk FAQ is one I think is pretty good:
Gary McGath: “Filk music is a musical movement among fans of science fiction and fantasy fandom and closely related activities, emphasizing content which is related to the genre or its fans, and promoting broad participation. Filkers are people who participate in this movement.”
