Sorry for the horrid picture; I barely squeaked this one in under the wire since my camera's card is a little bit full! I think I need to leave that one for the link to have a picture, so I'll put up a better one too. This week's Cricut Circle challenge is all about holiday recipes. We had to use at least 2 Cricut cuts; mine are from Jolly Holiday and the title is the font from Robotz.
My cardstocks are Brown Bag, Tulip, and textured White Daisy from Close To My Heart. My pattern papers are all from Heidi Grace's Jolly & Bright line. (Some of the papers from this line were still available at JoAnn's last time I shopped there.) I used a white Uniball Signo pen for my recipe journaling and the written part of my title. For the "frosting" on my Cricut cuts, I used Liquid Applique. After letting it dry, I heated it with my embossing gun.
I am feeling the need to add a little something more to this layout. At the very least, I need some hardware on the right page. Those four photos all have another photo underneath, so I need something to keep the mats down. It may have to sit for a day or two while I decide what to use, then I'll update...
Tips, tricks, tutorials and more on how to scrapbook, how to stamp, how to make cards, how to use a Cricut, how to use Make The Cut, how to use Lettering Delights SVG and other files, how to alter items, and more.

Do you believe in MAGIC?
What's better than a great scrapbook sketch? A scrapbook sketch with magic. Coming soon from Jeanette Lynton is a new book with 35 two-page layout patterns. But Magic is no ordinary sketch/pattern book; in fact its subtitle is Interactive Scrapbooks That Dazzle and Delight. For every layout, there is an optional interactive element. And the best part is that you can switch up the interactive elements from one layout to another.
Here's a sneak peek of one of the layouts from the book. This layout features one of the most simple interactive elements - pull out journaling. It's not the element featured with this particular pattern, but it's what I needed for my photos.
Now how cute is this layout, first of all? I love the playful tilt of the designs. Then, pull on the tab and, voila, journaling revealed.
Magic will be available September 1st, only from Close To My Heart consultants, with a retail price of $29.95.
Supplies used:
Robots and George Cricut cartridges
Bazzill cardstock (light blue)
Stardust papers, stickers, & Flexi Labels from CTMH (discontinued)
Doodle Alphabet stamps from CTMH (discontinued)
Tab Punch from SU!
