Master Bath Makeover

The master bath received a little makeover.
It's done- minus the broken counter top. :( that's an extra $200 that I would rather spend elsewhere right now)

Before:
After:
I love it in there!
{Painted the wall and pretty grey blue, painted the vanity black ( I stuck a couple layers of white underneath for if I want to distress it later), hung a shelf- my new favorite shelves! so cheap & easy, just some wood we have lying around and $1 "L" brackets.

Also, thanks to Pinterest I spray painted all my door nobs in the house.
I took them all out and stuck them into a foam board- sooooo easy!
Um, wow what a difference- not sure why I never thought of this before.
Katelyn even noticed them this morning 1st thing and said how pretty they were.

Annual Back to School Party & My NEW Shower!

The Nicoll family celebrated together at our Annual Back to School Party.
Complete with lunch passes and better than cafeteria food :)

Apparently I had more fun last yr taking pics HERE.

Thanks Mom for keeping the tradition alive :)
(Dad, Love the crossed eyes and Ammon- "nice buns";)
Our Kitchen faucet needed to be replaced. It was leaking and causing a mess under the sink and place wasting water in an annoying constant drip is no fun either.
So this project was added to the top of our project list.
Scott was so patient working in this tiny cramped spot with his tiny little helpers climbing all over him:)
Check out the Before
And After... Oh she is beautiful!
Now I can enjoy doing dishes
(if that's possible)

And now what you have all been waiting for.
My NEW Shower!!!!

Oh wow, I actually love showering now:)

Is Summer Break Over Yet?

Don't get me wrong, this summer has been great.
It seems there has been project after project, the good and the bad.
But seriously I am barely keeping my head on.

And now preparing for back to school has gotten me exhausted.
But I cant complain, it's been a blessing!
Friday I had 22 clients back to back, Saturday was jam packed too, then today I hit 24 haircuts back to back and don't even get me started on tomorrow's schedule.

I can't thank my parents enough for helping me through Cosmetology school.
And Scott for helping me run this crazy business.
It has been a major love/passion and blessing in my life.
I Love all my clients and all the referrals they send my way.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!

In other news....
Here is the latest on the master shower.
Scott has completed all his work and now the tiling is about to begin.
Yay!

Here is a view from the outside....
And a little closer.....
and now the inside.
I LOVE the bench Scott built!

Love, Your Friend was this weekend.
It was our Talent Show and boy, did we have a lot of talents this year.
Here is Scott's talent.
We were given a ventriloquist doll by my family and we put it to good use.
(and Mack was his assistant, because he didn't want to leave Scott side all night :)
Check out the rest of the talents HERE!

This past Sunday, it just seemed special.
It was a peaceful feeling all day & I loved it!

And to top that off we even made Cookie bars for Jacob's birthday get together that night.
My 2 little helpers anxiously waited for their samples and giggled the whole way through keeping me plenty entertained!
YUM!

I think what has made me most happy lately is this amazing man!
I am so appreciative to Scott in so many ways.
He has been my Superman!
I love him from his freshly showered goofy hair....
& his beautiful eyes.....
All the way down to his toes.
(napping in his freshly shined shoes before church)
I Love You Scott!

While this summer hectically comes to an end and the lists of projects become never ending, I feel so grateful for my blessings and for my family that are always by my side.

As Of Late.....

Scott has been working on the shower every day I am so proud of all his hard work.
Here is part of the shower "wing" wall :)

Here is Katelyn's parfait I made for her family birthday party.
It was delicious!
And tonight I am going to b gone rock climbing with friends (wish me luck)
n-e-ways, i feel bad for leaving so i made Scott this.
Yum!
The kids helped by "doing" the dishes.
Birthdays come and go quickly & I always have mixed feeling about them. This year being on Sunday, it was hard to celebrate on the day of, but my family helped make it special for me.

I went out to lunch with my mommy on Friday, then we did a little shopping. I got some necklaces and a new dress:)
Then Saturday night Scott took me to Oregano's... and we ate way too much!
Thank you Brig & Em for babysitting
On my birthday morning we made yummy blueberry pancakes and opened my present from Cami.
I got a couple new shirts, a hair flower and a coloring craft to do with the kids:)
After church we went to my parents for dessert and a good game of spoons.
I'm 1 yr older, & i'm still trying to get a grip on that:(

Never-ending Home Repairs

There r a million projects I want to do around the house. Stencil a few accents walls, paint the front door, and paint the bathroom vanities. Then some big ones.... Replace our bedroom arcadia doors with french doors, and finish both bathroom showers. Well, I guess finish the master then move onto the hall shower.

Except for we have been hit with a string of bad luck. Last week our dishwasher motor went out, then yesterday a screw went through the washing machine and got stuck and it has done enough damage that water is leaking everywhere and something is burning when we start it up. oh great! :(

In the master bath Scott finished all the repairs under the sink and put the drywall up then we placed the vanity and counter top back. Well..... today I did a little hop to sit on the counter top while we were working on the bathroom and I totally broke the counter! UGH!
talk about some junk in trunk :(
In some exciting news, the walk in shower is coming along.
Yesterday Scott raised the shower head and updated the shower valve.
And today we built the wall (& storage bench-not pictured).
Scott is awesome & I am so impressed with my man!
Fingers crossed that no more annoying projects occur so we can continue on with our fun ones.

Big kid bedroom

Not too many words here, enjoy the pics!
The kids LOVE their new room!
A new dresser, storage, and basketball court for Mack. He practices daily :)
Totally dejunked closet- oh so nice to have zero clutter!
They especially love their New Bunk Bed!
This kid is ecstatic!
He is still learning how to stay in bed, we r about 50/50.
Katelyn LOVES that she can have her own space AND escape her little brother!
She has placed her doll collection at the foot of her bed. All these dolls were mine as a little girl, except the one on her jewelry box. It was a gift from her Great Grandma Banks.
Their baby blessings framed. On the back is the actually blessing typed up.
Such a wonderful treat that family & friends short-handed while Scott gave the blessings. I need to make sure i have it done for each of our kids.
Yep, i really need to update these frames.
Now fighting, teasing, pushing.... still does occur every once in a while, but can you except.
Over all the kids love their new space :)

Handy Hubby

I love My Handy Hubby!
Today he replaced under the kitchen sink. When we bought the house the wood was warped and obviously molded underneath, be never got around to replacing it until now. It was so disgusting and I'm actually pretty embarrassed about it.
But now it's mold free and perfect, well almost :)

p.s. tomorrow Scott & I are going on a road trip to Blythe, California to do a small job. The kids are going to Grandma Nicoll's for the day.
I'm excited to be on a long date with Scott:)
