My girlfriend Hedvig has been on a Spidey diet for a few days now. Watching the cartoons and re-reading old comic books. And a few minutes ago she sent me this selfportrait. :)

E&S #8

Just printed and the latest issue of Emma & Sara in the studio.
It will be released May 7 at Small Press eXpo in Stockholm. As usual we've only printed 30 copies that will be sold on a first come, first served basis at our table.
This issue covers all of the E&S pages made in 2008 and Hedvig has made a brand new cover.

E&S revisited

A quick update if anyone wonders what I'm up to right now, this very moment at a café in Gothenburg, drinking coffee and eating blueberry muffins.
I'm currently working on the 8'th issue of mine, Emma's and Hedvig's "Emma & Sara". This issue will feature all the pages we made in 2008 and sporting a brand new cover by Hedvig. (I hope. Please, Hedvig!)
It will be in black and white with color covers as usual.
If everything falls in to place it will be released at SPX in 2011. :)

I sure miss working with Emma and Hedvig on this bi-weekly page.
It was fun. But nine years is quite a long time for a comic to last nowdays, anyway.

A parrot and a page

Has been a doing this and doing that day today. But at least one drawing was finished. A "Disco Parrot"...

Now, it's 20.00 here in Sweden. The country of snow, it seems. We haven't had this much snow in the south of Sweden since 1979, they say. And I believe them.
Thinking about leaving the Studio for the evening. At least my stomach tells me to go home to get some food. But it's warm and cozy here and outside ... Brrr...

Hold on!
Just went over to Johan Kimrin's cubicle here in the Studio and spoke to him about some Modesty Blaise related stuff, when I saw that we, without knowing it, had published an alternate, previously unpublished panel by Jim Holdaway in the latest issue of Agent X9!
Will show it here later this week. :)

ISV

You've probably noticed the absence of posts here. We are gearing up for the comics festival ISV that is coming up this weekend. So much to do and so little time to blog. But next week!!! Then everything hopefully will be back to normal.
Now, back to printing home made comic books in the studio...

Screamers on a Train

Right now I'm on a train together with my girlfriend Hedvig. It's hot, no air conditioning and people are coughing and small kids are screaming and crying. Well, we are trying to survive.

And it just happens that the latest Emma & Sara (written and drawn by Hedvig) has the same theme. E & S are faced with screaming kids, a coughing lady and a punk kid who plays loud music on a train. Here are a few panels. The page has been sent to the colorist and will appear in Julia 17 this year.

E&S #7

Soon I'll be heading for SPX in Stockholm together with Hedvig. So there will probably be no blog updates until tuesday next week. At SPX we'll have the first issue of "Emma & Sara" for sale. We've only printed 30 copies, so first come, first served...

Hedvig will also bring the remaining copies of her sketchbook and some prints etc.


And the catalouge featuring original art from mine and Germund Von Wowern's collections has also arrived! More about this one when I'm back. Now I'll have to pack my bags and get some sleep...

Chocolate dreams

Just finished inking the latest E&S page. It was drawn by Hedvig and I just have to share this dream sequence with you. This is what happens if you eat too much chocolate. :)

As you can see we like to fool around with the character degsigns. Here Hedvig was inspired by the animation designs for the Asterix and the Vikings movie.
