Pumpkin scones

kali ni try pulak buat scone dengan labu yag terbiar kat dapo tu... masa beli tu terfikir macam2 nak buat dengan labu ni, bila dah ada, vitamin m mulalah datang bertandang... tapi kesian kat labu tu kan... so meh lah tanya cik google apa yang boleh dibuat dengan labu ni...dan cik google tunjuk resepi ni... tapi bila nak buat entry ni dah tak jumpa pulak link dia... hadoiiii...nasib baik dah copy awal2. mekasih ya mek mat salleh kongsikan resepinya.  tapi kak rose tak buat glaze dia tu... makan jer dengan strawberry jam. kalau makan cam tu jer pun dah manis, tak perlu nak sapu jam dah.jom tengok resepinya..

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoon pumpkin spice (kak rose tak de, so omit yg ni)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold
  • 1/4 cup canned pumpkin puree (kak rose rebus labu dan mash halus)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream (substitute dengan santan pekat)
  • For the glaze:
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1-2 tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400. (200℃)
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and pumpkin spice.
  3. Dice the butter and add it to the flour mixture. Work the butter into the flour mixture until it's evenly distributed and smaller than peas. Use two knives, a pastry cutter, or your hands.
  4. Next, add the pumpkin and heavy cream in a small bowl and whisk together. Pour this on the flour mixture and stir until....

  1. a shaggy dough forms. Don't overmix, but incorporate things well.
  2. Scoop the dough out, place it on the baking sheet, and use the warmth of your hands to make it stick together into a circle.
  3. Shape the dough into a disc 5" in diameter.
  4. Slice the dough circle into 4 even pieces. Brush each piece with extra heavy cream.
  5. Bake for 16-19 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean and the scones are lightly brown on the edges.
  6. While the scones bake, whisk together the glaze ingredients. Pour on the scones when they come out of the oven. Serve immediately.

Scones yang rapuh

wah!!! nama crumbliest scone, tapi kak rose punya macam tak menjadi jer!!!! tak pecah scratch kat atas scone tu... may be sebab kak rose memandai kurangkan baking powder ke, so dia tak kembang sangat.... dah guna self raising flour pas tu tambah pulak 2 tsp baking powder for 1lb tepung, so memandai jer nak derhakakannya. cutter yang kak rose guna pun tak sampai 1 inci ketinggiannya.... so the end result, sendiri kena terima la kan.  tapi rasa sangat yummy dan masih rapuh n crumbly gitu! kalau nak tengok kejadian crumbliest scone yang sangat cantik tu kena intai kat tuan punya resepi ni ya kat sini. apa pun kak rose amik resepinya ya...

Bahan2
6 oz cold butter
1 lb tepung naik sendiri dan sedikit extra for dusting
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp gula
Psecubit garam
2 biji telor - siaze A
4 sudu makan susu
6 oz kismis
Untuk sapuan
2 biji kuning telor
1/4 tsp susu pekat manis
1/4 minyak
Method:
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Mix the Egg Wash ingredients together, set aside.

Put your butter, flour, baking powder, sugar and a pinch of salt into a mixing bowl and use your thumbs and forefingers to break up the butter and rub it into the flour so you get little cornflake–sized pieces.
Make a well in the middle of the dough, add the eggs and milk, and stir it up with a spatula.
Add the kismis to the mixture. Add a tiny splash of milk if needed, until you have a soft, dry dough. Move it around as little as possible to get it looking like a scruffy mass – at this point, you’re done. Sprinkle over some flour, cover the bowl and pop it into the fridge for 15 minutes.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1-inch thick.
With a 2 1/2-inch round cutter, cut out circles from the dough and place them upside down on a baking sheet – they will rise better that way. Re-roll any off cuts to use up the dough.
Brush the top of each scone with the the Egg Wash twice and bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes, or until risen and golden.
At that point, take them out of the oven and leave them to cool down a little. Serve with clotted cream (preferred), fruit jam, lemon curd, or butter.

Homemade english scones

salam dan selamat pagi khamis.... balik dari briskwalk terus ngadap menda ni... tangan dah sakit pun masih x leh nak jauhkan diri dari komputer... bila banyak guna mouse n menaip mmg ada terasa x selesanya tp nak buat camner kan. cuma mmg dah x main game la.... padan muka kan!

nak entrykan scone yang kak rose buat petang semalam.... terpandang kat blog Ratna Juwita yang sangat vouge tu dan lepas tu disertakan resepinya... tu yang buat kak rose nak mencuba... tp kejadian memang jauh langit dengan bumi la kan... yang pasti rasa mmg umphhhh sampai encik somi nak buat bekpes pagi tadi! mekasihya  Ratna sharekan resepinya ya... kak rose mintak izin nak kongsikan kat sini lak ya.

boleh dapat sekitaran 20 scones

1 biji granny smith apple,
50g butter lembut/masin,
90g gula halus,
400g tepung,
25g baking powder/2 sachets, (yg ni kak rose guna 1tsp)
 1 biji telur,
15 cl full cream milk/cream/buttermilk, (kak rose siap cari converter dari cl to ml 15cl=150ml)
sebiji kuning telur sebagai penyeri.

Kupas kulitnya apple dan hiris potong berbentuk kiub yang kecil cenonet saiz-nya.
Ayak tepung bersama baking powder,
masuk kan butter+gula kedalam adunan tepung tadi dan gaul adunan dengan jari jemari sehingga menjadi tekstur berderai umpama "pasir"
dan tuang kan dengan susu+sebiji telur,
tanpa berlengah campuri sekali potongan kiub bebuah apple,
gaul secepat mungkin sehingga sebati dough adunan.
Diatas sehelai parchment kertas, leper kan dough menjadi sebidang anggaran 3cm tebalnya, alas tutup kan dengan sehelai lagi parchment paper dan sejuk kan didalam peti es selama satu jam...
Panas kan oven ketuhar suhu 220°C.
Keluarkan dough adunan, alas tray dengan sehelai parchment paper,
terap dough mengikut citarasa memasing
