updates

I can not believe I haven't posted for a month. It has been crazy busy here and at work. The kids are having a great summer and I am hoping that we are able to do somethings before it gets away from us. WE are planning a trip to the zoo to see the new polar bear exhibit, and maybe a camping trip with my mom. It should be fun.
Life with the cop is never ever dull and we are getting along very very well. The kids adore her and she loves being around them (she spoils them rotten). I will tell you that I never thought I would date a cop and it has been quite the adjustment I don't like worrying every time she is on duty. It was getting better until she went back to the local sheriff department and they put her on the tactical team. Now I worry even more, I'm adjusting it's just hard every time she walks out the door I say a little prayer and I'm not a religious person. On another note I really like her family. Her mom took me to bingo and I even won a few games. I think that she is what I have always needed and just didn't know it. ( and yes Jude I like the other perks too:)!) I hope that I can get back to blogging soon it just seems like we never stop I have started biking and hope that someday I learn to like it as much as lifting weights. So I hope you are all enjoying your summer and the pride season.

Hellooooo....

I miss my blog, it seems like I have been neglecting it lately, I am still reading blogs and am here a couple time a week, I think it's just that life has been crazy. Work is hectic, home is crazy, and what free time I have I have been trying to spend with the wyfe. There is however a bunch going on so Lets do a run down list.....

1 The wyfe has decided that she is going back active duty as soon as she sews on Staff Sergent. Big changes to happen here at home with that choice that I am VERY VERY excited about.

2 My new boss came to see me the other day and hates me. I have been with this company for almost 10 years and have only been written up once and that was the month the wife visited from Japan and I was late A BUNCH!!! She came is and told me I wasn't doing anything right.... I am 132% to what company goals are and my labor and costs are well below what they should be but I don't know what I am doing.... I hate to say it but I feel it's a gay thing and that sux!

3 This one makes #2 better I am going back to school in the fall! I am taking a completely different career path but I told the wyfe that when she gets stationed I want to be able to pick up the paper and find a job, so I am going to do a Medical assistant program with an emphasis on billing and coding. This way I can find work just about anywhere.

4 The daughter is going to 3 yes I said 3 proms this year so I am going to be busy for several weekends. I am so excited! I may even get back in the mood to take some pictures!!!!

5 E made the a/b honor roll and we are proud!


OK so that is what has happened around here in a nutshell, I have been reading blogs if not commenting, I miss you all and hope your well.

ummm where did the last 2 weeks go

OMG the last 2 weeks of October are gone.where did they go???
it's been crazy here at home and at work, i haven't blogged in 2 weeks and haven't read many either, I hope to have time to catch up soon. here are the high points of the last 2 weeks

* I hired a new girl at work to replace the scabies girl!!!
* since new hire I have worked 50 + hours a week!! love the ot
* the daughter had a run in with the ex bf so I spent a day with principals
* daughters ex now has to be nice!!!!
* E was citizen of the month for October.
* E won a coloring contest at school for red ribbon week, don't do drugs be a hairdresser was his poster!! ( yeah a hairdresser)
* Trick or treat was a great success!
It's been crazy and will only get crazier at work, I work like a dog for 6 weeks out of the year, I can't complain. I hope you all are well and I will catch up soon.

FML update

I am on vacation this week and haven't heard anything from work, well from the boss anyway. My girls call me everyday. I have decided that I am going to take everyones advice and get my ducks in a row and get ready to go back to school!

kido update

So we saw the father today and the kids stood thier ground. told him that they didn't want to be at his house. they both told him that they want to see him but not at his house. My nine year old looked his father dead in the eye and told him he didn't want to come back to his house ever. I know that it is what they say they want, but it breaks my heart to know that they are this frustrated. we came home and thier father had called and left them a message telling them how much he loved them and missed them. Now mind you I can count on one hand how many times he has called them in the last year. All I can do now is let thme know how loved they are here. We have one week before school starts and I have one more fun outing planned for them. So keep your fingers crossed for us all that this continues to be ok.

schools is almost out!

So school is out for the kids next Wednesday. It's so dumb they are making up snow days so all they are doing is sitting at school watching movies and playing games. k found out the she is going to need to attend summer school to make up for the biology class that she did do so well in. I called her father to inform him that she would need to go to summer school and he told me she would not be attending summer school, she would be going on vacation with him because he has already paid for it. Ummm hello if she doesn't make up this credit she doesn't graduate with her class. Now I know that this is her responsibility and that she messed up but come on the beach will be there for years to come and she is only in school once. So I go to the school tomorrow to find out if this is a mandatory thing that they can help me out with. Wish me luck... E gave his first oral presentation this week to his second grade class. It was cute, we sculpted a cardinal out of clay for him to use as his visual aid. baby S had his end of the year program at daycare today his class was suppose to sing 3 songs and let me tell you all 6 kids stood up there just fine and the teacher has a great voice. Not one of the kids sang a note. The wife has finals in two weeks . Now if I just got the summer off it would be a great vacation but alas I still have to work. I will shorten the weeks and take more time off for the summer we have several mini vacations planned. I can't wait to go camping (RV) with my parents. It will be fun to watch the kids and the grandparents together. So that's what's happening here is smalltowndykeville.

kid update

So just a little update on my munchkins.... While I was at work today my kids called thier father and told him they weren't comming to see him this weekend. I had no part in it, he can't blame me I was at work. I am so proud ofthem both for sticking to thier guns and talking to him about how they felt. Now I just hope that he is the grown up he should be and doesn't hold it against them when and if they chose to go see him. We took them out to dinner then shoe shopping tonight. I was glad have them home and as relaxed as they were, i love when they are just kids no worries no fear just them being them. thanks for all the good thoughts.

life update

So after 2 days of random power outages we have had power this evening and i thought I would take the time to update a bit. We had a great time at pride, I wish that more days could be like that. We went to The in laws for the 4Th it was a good day. We also saw the fireworks on the 5Th with my mom and my bob. It was Baby S's 2ND birthday and I can not believe that my baby is 2, I am just not sure where the time has gone. The two older kids came home on Sunday and we have had a great week so far. On Monday we went to the lake and then came home to no power, the official story is that there was animal contact. Now I don't know about you but it must have been one hell of an animal to knock put power for almost 15 hours. We made the best of it and built a camp fire and roasted hot dogs for dinner. the kids had fun. we then played hide and seek till it was time for bed. No sooner did the wife and I get all snugly in bed that the power came back on. we then had to run around and turn off all the lights that we had on. i got up and went to work early on Tues and when I came home the wife was in the garage she let me know that we once again had no power. this time it was a tree down on a major line,blah blah blah. So K had started a roast earlier that was done so last night dinner consisted of roast beef and bread and butter. I know what healthy eaters we are. So today i went to work only to call every hour to be told that yes we still have power. It has been a good day and over all a good start to summer.


In other news the wife has quit her job. She was up fora promotion at work and the hiring manager is known to be a homophobic prick. She didn't even get a real interview she was told that 3 other Men were much more qualified. This is bull ans she called them on it. Then the trouble started. She had never been so much as late to work and she has gotten excellent on all her evals. but they started to nit pick and I told her not to put up with it. I make enough for us to get by and it is so not worth her aggravation to deal with that. The exciting part is she is now going to finally use her GI bill and go back to school!!!!!!! She has wanted to for a long time but lacked the confidence to do so. This is just the push she needed. I am so excited for her. She is going to be a Radiology Technician. I can't wait to see her in scrubs ;)
