Humber II/III z Battlefrontu

Tym razem, w ramach projektu 8. Armia Brytyjska pluton samochodów rozpoznawczych Humber z 7 Dwywizji Pancernej "Szczury Pustyni".

Na załączomych zdjęciach mamy pojazdy żywiczno metalowe firmy Battlefront do gry bitewnej Flames of War, oczywiście w skali 1:100.

Do malowania użyłem sprayu Crusader Sand z serii War Paint - farby te nie są już osiągalne, ale wieść gminna niesie, że oryginalnie producentem ich jest Army Painter, więc pewnie da się dobrać jakiś zastępnik z tej właśnie firmy. Dalej nałożyłem punktowo brązowy wash, rozjaśniłem to mieszanką farby białej i Desert Sand (Vallejo). Kolejny etap to kolor Olive Green z palety Vallejo, nałożony pędzlem. Krawędzie rozjaśniłem farbką Ivory - także Vallejo.

Po raz pierwszy zostowowałem efekt obicia lakieru. Tam gdzie obicie miały wystąpić gąbką nałożyłem farbkę Ivory, po czym już pędzelkiem, delikatnie, środek tak powstałych jasnych plamek wypełniłem czarną farbką, Daje to fajny efekt głębi, w pierwszej chwili wygląda to tak jakby model był fizycznie obity, a żywica z której wykonany jest kadłub nadkruszony na krawędziach.

Kalkomanie firmy Battlefront.

Całość pokryłem lakierem matowych w sprayu - Vallejo.

Efekt końcowy - jak widać poniżej. Praca została wystawiona w konkursie forum Strategie.

For painting I used Crusader Sand spray from War Paint series - these paints are no longer available, but the commune's news is that the original producer is Army Painter, so you can probably choose a substitute from this particular company. Next, I applied a spot brown wash, brightened it up with a mixture of white paint and Desert Sand (Vallejo). The next step is the color of Olive Green from Vallejo palette, applied by brush. I brightened the edges with Ivory paint - also Vallejo.

For the first time I used the effect of scratches in the paint. Where the scratches were to occur I applied Ivory paint with a sponge. Then with a brush, gently, the center of the light spots created in such a way I  filled with black paint. It gives a nice effect of depth, at first glance it looks as if the model was physically upholstered, and the resin from which the hull is made crushed on the edges.

I covered the whole models with matt spray varnish - Vallejo.

The final effect - as you can see below. The work has been exhibited in the Strategies forum contest.

Pancer kontra twhistoria czyli włoska rewolta

Ha, pierwszy raz od wprowadzenia restrykcji pandemicznych zagrałem we Flames of War. Gra odbyła się w ramach Warszawskiej Ligi Flames of War. Tym razem spotkałem się z Pancerem, a moi Niemcy z Deutsche Afrika Korps zmierzyli się się z nieustraszonymi Włochami kapitana Bertucci, którzy zbuntowali się przeciwko swoim niemieckim sojusznikom, za to że ci rozpowszechniają w świecie banialuki na temat niedostatków odwagi oręża włoskiego.

Ha, the first time I've played Flames of War since the pandemic restrictions. The game took place within the Warsaw Flames of War League. This time I met with Pancer, and my Germans from Deutsche Afrika Korps faced the fearless Italians of Captain Bertucci, who rebelled against their German allies for spreading trivialities in the world about the lack of courage of the Italian weapon.

Ponieważ zmiagania miały się odbyć na froncie afrykańskim teren został przygotowany należycie, o czym na pewno poświadczy Pancer jak i niżej załączone zdjęcia.

Since the clashes were to take place on the African front, the area was prepared properly, which will be evidenced by the armour as well as by the pictures attached below.

Ale do rzeczy.

But to the point.

Po stronie niemieckiej do walki stanęła kompania piechoty w składzie:

Obydwaj gracze zadeklarowali postawę "Atak" a wylosowany scenariusz to Breakthrough. W losowaniu atakującym zostałem ja, a obrońcą Pancer. Do rezerw natychmiastowych ja wysłałem pluton rozpoznawczy i pluton piechoty a Pancer do rezerw opóźnionych wysłał HQ, pluton pionierów, pluton Semovente i pluton czołgów. Pluton ppanc Lancia był w zasadzce.

Both players have declared an "Attack" attitude and the mission drawn was Breakthrough. In the draw, I was the attacker and Pancer was the defender. To the immediate reserves I sent a reconnaissance platoon and an infantry platoon and Pancer to the delayed reserves sent HQ, pioneer platoon, Semovente platoon and tank platoon. Lancia platoon operated as an ambush.

Gra zaczęła się bardzo dobrze dla Niemców. Na stole natychmiast pojawił się z rezerw pluton piechoty zajmując znacznik celu misji, a nawała artyleryjska haubic 105 mm wyeliminował dwie haubice 100 mm Włochów. W tej samej jednak turze, pluton 4 Carro Armato zabił 4 z 7 podstawek tego plutonu piechoty.

The game started very well for the Germans. An infantry platoon immediately appeared from the reserves, occupying the mission objective marker, and the 105 mm howitzer's artillery bombardment eliminated two 100 mm howitzers from the Italians. However, in the same turn, platoon of 4 Carro Armato killed 4 of the 7 stands of this infantry platoon.

W drugiej turze pluton grenadierów z sił głównych wraz z HQ znalazł się na znaczniku celu misji w środkowej części stołu, a pluton Panzer III nawiązał kontakt ogniowy do plutonu czołgów włoskich, z rezerw wszedł pluton rozpoznawczy SdKfz. 221/222. Włosi nie ponieśli żadnych strat, a tymczasem wyprowadzili zasadzkę - 4 działa 90 mm Lancia, i jedną salwą na dalekim zasięgu wyeliminowali 3 Panzer III i zbailowali obserwacyjnego Pz. II. Pluton rozpoznawczy wyparował.

In the second turn, a platoon of grenadiers from the main forces together with the HQ was on the mission objective marker in the central part of the table, and a platoon of Panzer III established a fire contact with a platoon of Italian tanks, a reconnaissance platoon of SdKfz. 221/222 from the reserves  entered the table. The Italians did not suffer any losses, and in the meantime they led an ambush - 4 90 mm Lancia cannons, and with one long range salvo eliminated 3 Panzer III and bailed out the observation Pz. II. The reconnaissance platoon evaporated.

W turze III nawała ogniowa ze 105-tek wyeliminowała dwie Lancie i jedną haubicę 100 mm, która zdała moralkę. Tymczasem pluton grenadierów z sił głównych stracił pięć podstawek piechoty. Włochom z rezerw wszedł pluton czołgów, a pluton grenadierów z rezerw przestał istnieć.

In turn III the artillery bombardment from 105th eliminated two Lancia and one 100 mm howitzer, which passed the morale.  Meanwhile, a platoon of grenadiers from the main forces lost five infantry bases.The Italians  entered the tank platoon from the reserves and the platoon of grenadiers from the reserves ceased to exist.

W czwartej turze, sytuacja Niemców stawała się skrajnie niekorzystna. Plutony mające wartość ofensywną praktycznie nie istniały, chociaż znacznik celu misji pozostawał w rękach niemieckich. Lotnictwo niemieckie wyeliminowało pluton Lancii. Moralki nie zdała także ostatnia haubica 100 mm. Na stole pojawił się pluton 6 szt. Semovente - nie zadał żadnych strat plutonowi armat ppanc PAK 38, który próbował przeprawić się przez rzekę.

In the fourth round, the situation of the Germans became extremely unfavourable. The platoons with offensive value practically did not exist, although the target marker of the mission remained in German hands. German aviation eliminated Lancia's platoon. Also the last 100 mm howitzer did not pass the morale. A platoon of 6 Semovente appeared on the table. They did not inflict any losses on the platoon of cannons PAK 38, which tried to cross the river.

W piątej turze pluton PAK 38 wyeliminował jedno Semovente a drugie zbailował, lotnictwo niemieckie znszczyło jeden czołg. Pluton grenadierów z sił głównych został wyeliminowany a HQ, które trzymało jeszcze znacznik celu misji straciło zastępcę dowódcy kompanii. Włoskie lotnictwo pojawiło się pierwszy i jedyny raz w grze, nic nie robiąc - Włosi zapomnieli, że zarządali wsparcia niemieckiej Luftwaffe. ;-)

In the fifth round the PAK 38 platoon eliminated one Semovente and bailed out the other one, the German air force destroyed one tank. The grenadier platoon from the main forces was eliminated and the HQ that was still holding the target marker of the mission lost its 2inC. The Italian air force appeared the first and only time in the game, doing nothing - the Italians forgot that they managed to support the German Luftwaffe.

Szósta tura nie przyniosła żadnych korzyści Niemcom, stracili pluton plot, przez moment wyglądało jednak na to, że Pancer zapomniał wypchnąć ze znacznika niemieckie HQ, sam go nie kontestując - co oznaczałoby koniec gry. Jednak huraganowy ogień km włoskich czołgów wyeliminował Niemieckie dowództwo.

The sixth turn did not bring any benefits to the Germans, they lost the AA platoon, but for a moment it seemed that Pancer forgot to push the German HQ out of the marker, without contesting it itself - which would mean the end of the game. However, the hurricane fire of MGs of Italian tanks eliminated the German HQ. 

Gra została wygrana przez Pancera wynikiem 7:2.

The game was won by Pancer 7:2.

Pz. II F z Battlefrontu

Kontynuuję projekt Deutsche Afrika Korps. Nieodzownym elementem moich sił ma być pluton czołgów lekkich Panzerkampfwagen II ausf. F.
I'm continuing with the Deutsche Afrika Korps project. An indispensable element of my forces is to be a platoon of light tanks Panzerkampfwagen II ausf.F.

Pluton takich czołgów, 5 sztuk, jest w ofercie firmy Battlefront, twórcy gry Flames of War. W zestawie znajdziemy żywiczne pojazdy z metalowymi dodatkami oraz kartą jednostki dla plutonu Pz. II. Zestaw jest dostarczany w estetycznym pudełku, z ładną grafiką na froncie i przykładem malowania z tyłu.

The platoon of such tanks, 5 pieces, is offered by Battlefront, the manufacturer of the game Flames of War. The set includes resin vehicles with metal additives and a unit card for the Pz. II platoon. The set is delivered in an aesthetic box, with nice graphics on the front side and an example of  painting on the rear side.

Do zestawu dodawana jest także plastikową ramka zawierająca korpusy dowódców czołgów do zamontowania we włazie na wieży czołgu. Włazy te są dostarczane w wersji zamkniętej i otwartej. Uwaga! Na grafice na froncie pudełka włazy te są sklejone nieprawidłowo - powinny się otwierać do boku na prawą burtę a nie do tyłu. 

A plastic frame is also added to the set, containing the bodies of tank commanders to be mounted in the manhole on the tank turret. These manholes are supplied in a closed and open version. Note: On the graphics on the front of the box these manholes are glued incorrectly - they should open to the side on the right side and not to the back.

Dzięki zastosowaniu żywicy i metalu pojazdy są bardzo proste w złożeniu i szybko można przygotować je do malowania.
Thanks to the use of resin and metal, the vehicles are very easy to assemble and can be quickly prepared for painting.

Below, there is a picture of glued together models, valorised with a set of resin tarpaulins, blankets and bundles from Majster's friend, and a set of canisters, which I have preserved after one of the previously glued together Pz. IV.
