Toy Story 2 Halloween

Here are this year's Halloween costumes...from Toy Story 2! This idea actually started 2 years ago, when I bought Ryker's Buzz Lightyear costume on the Disney Store clearance rack after Halloween. I thought it might fit him last year, but it was too big. So I have known all year that the rest of us needed to be Toy Story characters too! Brynn and I planned and brainstormed all year...we make quite a team. :0)
Buzz Lightyear, Jessie the cowgirl, Pizza Planet Alien, Bo Peep and Sheriff Woody

"Oooh...the Claw!"

Ellany went around saying "I lost my sheep!".

He's sooo cute - I can't even stand it!

I am so thankful for my mom's help...she made Adam's vest, and sewed on my chaps and the yellow satin on my shirt. Didn't she do a fantastic job??

I was very proud of myself for my Good Will finds...Woody's shirt for $1.80, our western boots for $4 and $5!! I love that place. I found the girls' costumes on eBay.

We went to 2 Trunk or Treat parties on the 30th and 31st...our home ward and the one we were in until a few months ago. So we got to see lots of friends, we didn't have to take the kids door-to-door AND we got to wear our costumes a lot. :0) Yeehaw!!

One of the parties had a costume contest and we won first place in the family category! Here we are with our impressive trophies/gold stars, about to give an acceptance speech...;0)

Here is Brynn at the pie eating contest...I didn't even know she was participating until she was half done. Lucky for her, because I don't like pie eating contests.

And you know I can't let a holiday go by without some sort of cake creation! So here are my monster cupcakes for the Trunk or Treat cake walk. [Cue the "Thriller" music...]

And lastly, a pic of our awesome kids in their glow-in-the-dark skeleton PJ's. Lots of fun!

  3. I have been waiting and was not disappointed! Great Job!!! You really do inspire me with your Halloween fun. Actually, the year you guys were the Incredibles made me think how fun it would be for us all to be dressed up together...and it is! Ava seems to enjoy it so much more when we are together on the costume! I bet the cupcakes were tasty too ;o) Thanks for sharing!
