A Tide of Mucus

Ugh - over a whole month without posting! The daft thing is I've no end of things to post about and I think this will be my excuse this time!!

I had been planning on posting up some spooky stuff I painted up for my very slowburn Wood Elf army, which I also took down to use in our yearly Halloween game with the Warlords of Albion - Night of the Living Lead. There was going to be action-packed in game shots and everything.

Then I thought it would be a good idea to paint up the stuff I bought from Foundry while we were down there that would fit in nicely with my newly painted up Elf stuff and make a good addition to the blog post.

Then I thought it would be a great idea to kitbash and paint another unit to go with them.

So we're not doing any of that in this post because it's still on the painting desk. In case you hadn't guessed from the delightful title of this post - you're getting Snotlings again!

Giants and Spiders...

So on to the real big guys of the army this week - those little Snotties need all the help they can get!

Pump My Ride...

So on with the Snotlings! This week it's the more mobile and deranged wing of the "army" - the Pump Wagons!

Dog Snots and a whole load of Bogeys...

Crikey, where does the time go? Thought I was on top of this blogging malarkey and several motnhs go by just like that... (edit from present day me and not mid-June me when this draft was originally written - more like a lot more than several months ago!)

Last Ham at Grazer's Leat

Well that's been a busy few weeks but the Snotlings are finally here. I've weathered a nasty cold (not the best when you work outdoors everyday), survived my Defender's engine destroying itself and sorted a new pickup out, all while starting out in a new job. It's back to the fun hobby stuff now I'm on a more even keel and I see GW have also re-released a few of the old Snotling miniatures too recently, so I guess I'm almost topical too!

Get Well Soon!

Another LPL entry - Round 6 this time, and I couldn't resist diving in straight away and painting up Kev Adam's self portrait and the Snorklings! Thought it would make a nice virtual Get Well Soon card should Kev be a regular at the LAF.

As you can see these minis are bursting with character and good humour - I'll definitely have to invest in some more to increase my Snotling horde...

Space Hopper with attitude!

I decided to base the other Snorklings up in a similar style to my existing Snotlings - plus there was a vague culinary theme running through the various minis.

The chap at the back right came with nothing in his hands - a nice opportunity for some more 80's style miliput mushroom action!

And yes, that is a bottle of Tabasco's...

In case you couldn't make out what the characters with the kitchen utensils at the back were up to...

And Kev himself, modelling that classic combo of faded jeans, red converse sneakers, camo jacket and green beanie!

Say hello to my little friend!

Still not sure as to the significance of the voodoo mask and wooden pipe as I missed the original release of this mini - answers on a postcard please!

Oh and don't forget Goblin Aid - here's a few teaser shots of the packs that the Goblins will be sold in if you can't stretch to buying the whole lot.

Don't forget, little Kevin and his Snorklings are still available from Foundry!

The Kindness of Strangers

Hello one and all, and apologies firstly for my long absence - as you might have guessed, I made the cut for the Lead Painters League over on the LAF and between that and the vagaries of real life haven't had much time for blogging.

Anyhow I've been moved to hit the keyboard again by an act of huge generosity and kindness from a fellow lead head which I had to share here.

Now bear with me, but I've held the good folk of Sweden in some high esteem for some time now - and no, not for the reasons you're thinking...
