Bringing Spring Indoors

There's no "In like a lion, out like a lamb" March springtime in Tennessee.  It's more like "lamb, lamb, lion, lion lion, lamb, lion, lamb, lamb..."  One day it will be in the upper 70s... the next in the 40s.  Obviously you can't plant anything outside in March.

But oh these warm days make me want to dig in the dirt!

So I'll just repot me some plants!

I have more cute pots than I do house plants.

Yep... I have a very unhappy Spider Plant.  I think I watered it too much...

Once I was finished, I scattered them around the house.

I have a few more to transplant, plus some moss gardens I want to make.  Soon enough it will be past last frost date and I'll be digging in the yard!

Out and Around Cole's Forge

There is so much eye candy around Cole's forge that it really does take more than one post to show it off.   So here are more shots to enjoy...

I'm not sure why, but I really like this shot.

So much character in this doorway.

Beautiful!

Different angle.

His wife has decorated an old storage shed.

How fun!  I want a cute little shed to decorate!

Oh yeah... I do have a shed.  But it's so BIG...

Just look at all the cute things.

Chippy shutters and a kerosene lamp.  Perfect.

I think that is an oil can.

Chippy rocker and an old tobacco basket.  I'd love to get my hands on a tobacco basket!

Fabulous texture!

A peaceful vignette.

And a beautiful magnolia tree.

It's such a lovely yard to walk around in.  Every where you look is another little patch of pretty.

The Morning's First Tool

Time to change out the dining room table vignette.  I was inspired by a challenge to use vintage kitchen tools.

I can't think of a 'tool' that is more used in any morning time kitchen than coffee!

I believe that somehow it must have been a more peaceful ritual when the ladies ground beans for the morning coffee with this hand grinder.  Electric grinders are SO obnoxiously loud.

A fun chippy tin cup from my enamelware stash.

This lovely sugar spoon was given to me by Himself's uncle H.  Daffodils are my favorite flower.

Oops... gotta run!  Himself just called me in for a cuppa!
