It's finally here. The third insatallment of the Caster Chronicles by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl has finally been named and the cover, unveiled. The third novel in the best-selling series is called 'Beautiful Chaos' and this is what Kami has said about the significance of it: "When you read the book, I think [the title] will be really obvious". Now, feast your eyes on the artwork that was released today at 3pm EST:
Whattaya think guys? I had a feeling the text would be gold or pink. I think this is my favourite cover of the bunch just after Beautiful Darkness; I just loved that blue!

Once Every Never Cover Reveal
Now, with a single thoughtless act, what started off as the Summer Vacation in Dullsville suddenly spirals into a deadly race to find a stolen artifact, avert an explosive catastrophe, save a Celtic warrior princess, right a dreadful wrong that happened centuries before Clare was even born, and if there’s still time—literally—maybe even get a date.
This is the kind of adventure that happens to a girl once every… Never.
Wow, I was browsing through Goodreads yesterday and I stopped and glanced at this wandering if the cover was to be released soon. Well, I must be psychic or something funky, because low and behold, here it is.
Lesley wrote and finished her very successful Wondrous Strange (TBR, TBR) series about fae, recently. I'm not sure if this is a new series but it looks good and the cover is extremely...interesting?
As a side-note, Dreaming Of Books is having a contest right now and you can win a Two Chapter sample booklet of Once Every Never featuring the cover art.

Die For Me By Amy Plum Cover Show-Down
Omigosh, everyone has been blogging about 'Die For Me' by Amy Plum; comparing the two covers and deciding which of the two they like the best. This is as easy as it gets for me. I absolutely love (and much, much, much) prefer the U.S cover (the one on the right).
Here's why:
-The reflection of the title on the river. It's so eerily beautiful. Also the reflection of the trees.
-How the background is grey and chilling in contrast to the red boat and vivid blue dress.
-How clear and crisp the picture of the stone bridge and surrounding landcape is. I just love it!
I also prefer the cover model on the U.S cover. In the description of the book, I think Kate describes her life as being normal and uneventful. I imagane that's the kind of amazed look she'd be wearing if she was on a strange canal in Paris. To me, the girl on the U.K cover exudes quite an evil attitude.
I'm not a fan of the postitioning of the words 'Amy Plum' on the U.K cover. It is in the centre of the book but it sort of clashes with the positon of the skirt and it looks messy. To me, all of that black flower detailing makes the cover look cluttered and amateur. The colour scheme for the U.S cover resonates better with a title as dark as Die For Me.

Shade: UK or US?
I discovered the new UK cover for Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready today via the S&S website and felt like I had to post about it. Cover posts aren't common for me but I think S&S UK did a fantastic job with this cover!
US/UK
US/UK
I think I prefer the UK cover. At first glance, I wasn't sure because I thought the smoke covered and blurred everything else like the picture of the girl. But when I compare the two, I prefer the UK. I think I prefer the font and it just looks more proffesional (but the girl does look a little photoshopped). The arm jutting out on the US one looks awkward and it doesn't really mean anything. Whereas on the UK cover, it seems more mystical and you can actually see the whole girl. What do you think?

New Covers Revealed!
This week I've been spotting some changes on the covers of my goodreads account. These are the recently revealed covers of a few at the top of my TBR list!
Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
It's about a girl. It's about a boy. It's about Parisian boarding school, almond-scented macarons, famous cemeteries, and cinemaphiles. It's about heartache. And it's about true love.
Yeah, there isn't much of a summary but I still think it looks really good! I mean it must be if it's about Paris! As far as the cover's concerned, I absolutely love it. I mean, I've only started liking covers where they show the model but the Eiffel Tower in the background makes it look so...European. To cut long story short I can't wait for this one, even though it isn't released until December. I know that's a whole seven months away!!
Before she can rest in peace, Charlotte Usher must return to the tragic site of her death: high school. Once there, her assignment is to help a designated teen solve a personal problem in time for the allimportant prom. But no one explained what happens if you fall in love with your class project. Charlotte would die (again) for love but facing the all-too-familiar feeling of invisibility may be too much for her to swallow.
After reading and loving the first two (Ghostgirl and Ghostgirl: Homecoming) I'm sure I'll absolutely love this one! I'm lovesick just thinking about how much I want to get my hands on a copy. The cover is just so gorgeous and I love the recurring decoration on them. Also the way you always see the silhouette of Charlotte on a reflective surface (first a coffin and then a mirror). This one looks amazing!

Princess For Hire: UK or US?
I was browsing on Amazon when I came across two covers for Princess for Hire by Lindsey Leavitt. I, myself, am very excited to read this and I am also including it in the 2010 Debut Author Challenge.
US Hardback/UK Paperback Which of the two do you prefer. For me it is definitely the hardback copy. When I first saw it, I thought the Paperback copy was a tween book for a much younger audience. I'm also not really sure what a bath has got to do with being a princess. I think they could've princessed it up a bit. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

The Iron King: Old or New?
I came across this cover online. It was originally planned as The Iron King's official cover but was scrapped. Which of the two do you prefer?
Original Cover/Official Cover
I think that I prefer the now official cover. The original one reminds me of when you take a picture on your phone and then try and squeeze it into a virtual frame. The colour scheme is also clearer and overall I think it has a more dramatic effect. I'd love to hear your opinion.
