Skyping the Australian family! Yay!

Juliette hiding in the garden not wanting to be in a family photo!

No one minding a family photo in this family! Gorgeous!

Beautiful Verity looking rather like a female Oliver Twist!

Christmas Day through to the night!

Our guests, Emma, Stuart and Jenny and Josie arriving, helping to cook, lots of alcohol being consumed, lots of hilarity. Nothing better than friends and family surrounding you.

A wonderful feast - except for the beef which could well have been monkey - more on that another time, but the turkey was beautiful so all was great!

Pinata for the kids!
We had a fabulous Secret Santa 1BD gift giving after dinner - we all had to buy a gift worth 1BD (about 2 pounds sterling) and throw it in the santa sack. All of us drew a number and then in that order we were able to choose a gift or swap with someone else. Some of the presents were a little cheeky - including Gwen receiving a naughty pair of knickers (!). It was great fun though!

Christmas Day

Morning laughter, unwrapping, squeals of delight, coffee, hangovers, Annalise throwing up with a stomach bug, new bikes being ridden (is that correct grammatically?) people being thoroughly spoilt.....a superb morning!!

Think she likes it?!

More present fun! Including a framed Bahraini Khanjar for Gwen.

Christmas morning getting the table ready, bucks fizz being consumed and new clothes being worn!

Late Christmas Eve preparing the veggies and meat for tomorrow's big day! A full family affair! So glad we have a large kitchen!

Family Visitors for Xmas!

At the Dilmun Club for a Carol Concert Buffet Dinner - the Manama Singers sung - and except for one of the lady soloists who sang unfortunately as if she was a lamb being assaulted (!), it was a fab night!

Annalise fast asleep cuddling up to her littlest niece, Verity.

As always, fun at bathtime with cousins!

The thorn in my side since September....

it turned out great but was fraught with problems and honestly was a complete pain in the arse to put on. So glad it is now finally over. Bbut I blame this play for my lack of blogging - I was working three nights a week after school plus Saturdays and really life sucked big time! I was just counting the days down till it was over. The kids as always had a ball but....at the expense of my family, my health and my happiness! And if I hear any more songs from it I may have to just vomit!!

Xmas parties and My Birthday

Out of sync, I know - trying desperately to catch up on the last few months.....above are photos of the Bahrain British School's carnival we went to where the girls got their piccies taken next to a beautiful falcon. A Perigrinne (spelling?!!) I think.

Fun at Juliette's best friend Hannah's party at a newly found inddor play sace. Great fun!

Karaoke at my birthday party.

Halloween party (yes, out of sync again!)

December Irish Xmas Fun

Every year the Irish society put on a fab children's xmas party - and yet again, we were no disappointed! What a fab party!

Like their Christmas dresses?

Heaps of fun! And free food, plus, free Guiness, Baileys and Champagne!! Don't you love the Irish? - They sooooo know how to party!
