My Baby! Juliette's First Loss!!

So, Juliette had a super wobbly tooth in Australia - her first of what will be soon, many, as there are a number of them around now!
But, our last day in Pattaya, she woke up with the tooth in her cheek - her first baby tooth has 'left the building'!! She wrote a note to the tooth fairy- 'Dear Tooth Fairy, Please get my tooth' and received a BD1 dinar note the night after we arrived back here in Bahrain - she carefully wrapped the tooth up in tissue, with the accompanying note and tuked it all under her pillow - so sweet!
My baby is not such a baby anymore- sniff.....! Time for another (Don't tell Andrew!!...joke by the way!)

Koh Larn Island

Just 30 mins boat ride from Pattaya - what a fantastically beautiful island.
Andrew's pictures are a bit crazy as he was fiddling with settings and trying to experiment with colours so many of the pics have come out grey - grey sea, sand and people, but it was truly turquoise sea and pale yellow gorgeous sand - gorgeous!!

Bottoms Up!

The fun boat ride home.

Relaxing Fun & Games at the Hard Rock

I sat in the jacuzzi spa and read the '50 Shades' three books.....well, I had to see what all the fuss was about! More on that another time.  The girls 'partook' in the kids club activities and had an absolute 'ball' - excuse the pun!!

Hard Rock Cafe Foam Party and Fishy Feet

So, part of the entertainment at the Hard Rock Hotel was a poolside foam party for kids at 5pm on Saturday night.  Oh my goodness - it was hilarious! Both the girls loved it - although Juliette nearly drowned in the bubbles at one point - she had to be rapidly plucked out as after about 40 minutes, the foam was way above her head! Joking aparrt it did become too 'deep' in soap bubbles for her, but the were plenty of staff on hand to keep the kids safe.  Andrew was even persuaded to get in on the fun!!

And then afterwards, we went out to dinner on the streets, stopping on the way at a 'fish foot spa'.  As you can see from the piccy, my old tired feet were obviously far more attractive to the fish than the girls!!

Daddy and his girls.....beautiful.

Pattaya Fun

Drinkies at an Irish Pub - fantastic! We had an absolutely wondrful four days in Pattaya (about 45mins from bangkok airport).  Pattaya itself as a beach  resort isn't overly beautiful, but we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel - it had a  man-made beach section of the pool, entertainment for the kids, swim up bar for Andrew and we stayed in a beautiful suite room on the executive floor which meant we made full use of the free cocktails every evening, and snacks, canapes and soft drinks throughout the day. It was a perfect way to spen the last few days of our holiday.

Our lovely, crazy littlies!

One day we took a speed boat out around Pattaya - the girls and Andrew were a little 'afeared' at first, but soon warmed up to the high rush of speeding across the scary waves! It was beautiful and we got to see a superb temple made from carved wood - it was truly beautiful - so intricately carved.

A whole Beck Family photo - it was a great night.  Fiona and Gary shouted all of us to dinner and drinks at a lovely steak restaurant - fabulous food, wine and company! We then partied on down back at their house until the wee hours of the net morning! I think Gary had a great birthday!

Lots of fun with Aunty Tina and Unce David!

Just thought this was such a cute photo!

Skiing up at Mount Buller!

We had a night up at Mount Buller with Fiona, Gary and Stephie - it was wonderful!
All ready for the snow!

Having their first lesson - they did superbly and after an hour, were all happily and skillfully making their way down the slopes!

The weather turned into blizzard and a white out bythe afternoon - but the girls still wanted to ski! It was difficult seeing a metre in front of you, the storm was so bad.

Just what was needed after a hard day out in the freezing snow - a hot jacuzzi bath in the hotel room! Bliss!

A wonderful night up at Ron & Connie's

We always adore going up to Gisbourne to see Aunty Connie and Uncle Ron. Their house is beautiful and set within acres and acres  of land - not as much as it used to, as they sold some off to farmers, but it is still fantastic.  The girls got to collect eggs from the coop, take Bo the sheep dog out for a run in the paddock, play al kinds of hide and seek games and special club games in the trees and swing on the tire swing.
We stayed over the night, watching the Olympics until late, happily chatting the night away and then had a lovely trip to Mount Massendon and Hanging Rock and Magic Mountain the next day.
