Singapore Night Safari

Really miss writing here... Wished I had more extra time & xpayah berebut iPhone dgn Harris. Kids nowadays just cant live without one. Even not yet 2 years old Ryo pun dah pandai mintak & main iPhone!!!

Anyways, our 2nd time travelling by car into Singapore this year was yet another great one. My best friends at APU finally tied a knot with a cute Japanese lady & had their reception in Singapore early this month. I had fun catching up with friends I havent meet for almost 6 years! How time flies.... Ramai yg still steady cam dolu2 & ada jugak yg dah ada anak but mostly sorang...

I dont know why la kan, seem like Singapore is sooo much humid than Msia. Dah la makcik kuat peluh! It was an outdoor wedding maka berpeluh2 la saya... :-( Dah la on that day perut agak skit meragam. Cant really eat anything which was good bcoz everything was 2.5 more expensive. Too bad we r earning in Ringgit...

In d evening, we went to the very famous n d 1st night safari in the world. I dont know why, all my Msian friends seem to hate it there. They said the animals were all sleeping & it was too dark. I've been there twice but never experience that. Maybe they went there too late kot. So u ppl out there make sure to be there at 7pm when all the animals are very hungry & not sleeping. But beware, since its the best time, tourists are everywhere n they are MANY ;-)

Just cant wait for its River Safari to be open soon!

(Harris & papa takut nak dekat dgn ular. Me & Ryo siap belai2 lg ular tu. Bleh ketawa Ryo tgk lidah ular hehehe)

Clear Vision Finally

Finally, I had an ilasik surgery at Optimax @ Jln Yap Kuan Sek. I had wanted to do this for quite sometimes. Finally, I free myself from contact lenses & glasses :-)

Before surgery:

I called Optimax to set appointment for free eye screening. Here, an optometrist will check your eyes & will inform u about you eyes conditions, what kinda treatment is suitable etc
Then had to lay off contact lenses for 2-3 weeks. For me I laid off for 3 weeks.

On surgery day:

Had my eyes checked by the doctor that will actually operate my eyes.
I decided to do a conventional iLasic where doc cuts my cornea with a very thin blade. Then use laser tu correct my eye sight. Very quick surgery, only a few minutes for both eyes.
Since eyes were made numb during surgery, I basically do not feel any pain. Just feel pressure when cutting my cornea. The nurse was nice to hold my hand during surgery. A bit scary coz I can basically see what the doctor is doing.

After surgery:

I was in lots of pain. Actually, xla sakit sgt. Rase mcm mase potong bawang jer. Tp endlessly. Tu yg xtahan tu. Tears keep on running down. So I took pain killer & slept for 5 hours. When I wake up at 8pm. I can see quite clearly :-)

How much did this cost me? Well, not much for a person who cant see without a glasses. Rm5k for this more & easier life is worth every cent.

What I like about Optimax, they never pressure u to do surgery. Even on my surgery day they never ask me to make payment first. My supplimentary credit card was rejected & they even let me do surgery first! Then hubby had to make payment on behalf of me :-)

Ryo & Ampang Hospital

Dear blog,
So many things happened after i left u last time.
Ryo was admitted to Ampang Hospital due to artical pneumonia. He had infection at his voice box that make sound like an asthma when taking his breath. So damn scary listening to his breath though he was such an active boy walking & playing here & there. We first went to Klinik Kesihatan at hubby uni after he came home from nursery with a fever & breath heavily when sleeping. The doctor thought he had asthma so was given a nebulizer + antibiotic. But still his breathing was still heavy. Since we had to go to KL coz Mr. Lepad need to go to JPJ for registration & I must be there.
In KL, i went Dr Shanaliza of Klinik Kanak Kanak Shanaliza in Wangsa Maju. She's the one who realized that that Ryo is not with asthma but with something else. I forgot what the actual med name but its infection at his voice box.
So off we go to a govt hospital, the Ampang Hospital after spending a half day at JPJ, trying to get a nice registration no for Mr. Lepad.
We went to Ampang Hospital around 5 pm & only waited about 1 hr+ before seing a doctor. Ryo was warded here for 3 nights.
Staying here really change my perception on public hospital. Here there was no angry nurse. All the nurse here r young & super friendly. The toilet was clean. They seem to clean & take out each patience garbage every few hours! Org pun xramai sgt. Very2 selesa to stay in. Since its free i need to give nebulizer to Ryo every 3 hr by myself. Sgt susah coz he would be syrugling not to get one. Overall, i am really happy with their service & hospital. 7/10 la kira if the food is nicer i will give more hehe ;-)
Furtheremore, staying at govt hospital mesti byk bertanya coz they wont tell u thrre is a couch when sleeping at nite & u change your food preference. Sbb they gave bubur for ryo 3 meal & anak sy is not a bubur eater. He need more solid food ;-)
I was thinking i might be able to give birth here ;p sbb makcik sgt takut nak branak kat msia hehe

Safe & Sound

So many things happen during my absent:

• Yes, now I am living in Batu Pahat & luv it here. 
• Just got back from my sis wedding in Turkey without hubby. Was really an exhausting event. Since all wedding is a 'syok sendiri' event & as long as the married couple happy. So who cares what I think kan?
• Harris is currently going to a tabika KEMAS near hubby work place. So far the best teacher we met. I seriously dont care what ppl think if it is for ' anak2 orang bawahan'. Screw double standard!!
• A biawak or what ever ppl call that creature, tried to get into my house. So now, I have to secure my house not only human (pencuri) but also animals.
• One more last thing, tomorrow I will go for a work interview in an university nearby. So wish me luck :-)

Moving....

Sorry miss blog (yes, my blog is a girl), I had been ignoring u for a couple of weeks. Been very bz looking for snow b4 it melt and need to pack all our belonging. Moving back to Msia very very soon. Look at all the boxes from my movers and you'll know what I am dealing with.... Those things occupied half of the room already. I need to think wisely where to put all my stuffs after they are pack in the boxes.... 

 

I am also sorry to tell u that I am going to ignore u for another couple of weeks. Next week we are going to Hokkaido for our very last holiday in Japan :D Then after coming back I would be more bz packing again...

Its Winter & Real Snow!!

It was snowing up in the mountains of Oita. Since this year is our last year here so we went up with the other Malaysian. Our first time driving on a snowy road was really challenging and exciting! Look at the picture u will know... After coming here, I felt like I am in Hokkaido or maybe even better!

I used to regret buying this Hally Hansen jacket but not anymore. I was warm the whole time there :-)
