I would first of all just wish to thank NLGBBBBTH from the excellent SPIRAL blog for kindly allowing me to share his rip of this amazing LP here at the lounge. I've been looking for this album for a long time and it's great to finally have a copy featured here. We have a few other albums by the incredible John Gregory (aka Chaquito) in the archives here and also a number of his arrangements feature throughout the Crime Jazz series we produce. Another album from the ever reliable John Gregory & His Orchestra, this one from 1961 when he was known as "Johnny". There are a few other of his albums back in the archives so if your new to him check them out. Along with Roland Shaw, he is probably my own favourite of all the 60's and 70's bandleaders to have released these kind of albums.

Here is another big bombastis stereo outing with The John Gregory Orchestra, recording under his Chaquito name. Like the earlier post of his Detectives album, this is another fantastic LP filled with action-packed television themes played like only he can.

This is one pulse-pounding Big-Band showstopper of an album, Bandleader John Gregory (he of Chaquito fame) has a great knack of taking well-known tunes and presenting them with original and exciting arrangements. This is the way TV themes should sound!
