The Lazy Winter Continues

Well, Mother Earth gave us a tease last week. All the snow melted and it warmed up to the 50's even one day ... only to be followed by a crazy ice storm and tons more snow! Nick and Seth were able to go play at the park one day, it was a little chilly, but warm enough to have a little outdoor fun for a while.

Last week my parents were in town for a few days. It seemed like a pretty quick visit and I guess that's because it was. My dad was actually in Cleavland most of the time and my mom and I spent 2 whole days cutting, sewing and ended up TOTALLY FINISHING my crib bedding set for little miss Denzer. I'm so happy with the finished product and now am super antsy to get the crib and nursery set up. Since our nursery is going to kick Nick out of his office, I'll let him keep the room for a while longer, but me being me ... I just want to get it all done and going! I have to do something stuck in the house for the winter!

Anyway, pictures to come ... It's kind of hard to take pictures with out having it all set up (or at least the pictures I want) So, I'll post a sneak peak soon and then the finished product when we can get the room all set up!

Anyway, my parents were here for Valentine's Day and Seth got to be everyone's favorite Valentine! He was pretty excited about some fun gifts he got to open. Grandma Denzer sent him a fun cupcake "Melissa and Doug" kit, so he's been baking up a storm! :)

There are markers that you can decorate the tops of the cupcakes ... Seth thinks it's pretty sweet! Have I told you how much I'm in LOVE with the Melissa and Doug toys? They are so cute, wooden and educational. Seth just loves all of them and I think they are great and will last a long time! Anyway, check them out if you haven't. There are always good deals on Amazon for their cute things!

We got Seth the Mater Tall Tales DVD ... he's been wanting it and LOVES Cars ... so, it was a big hit!

Deer in the headlights look here ... but check out his sweet Calvin Klein outfit grandma Wofford got him. Now he's the most stylin' one in the house! :)

Lately Seth had been pretty snugly and cute. He's not usually this way with Nick so the other night when he wanted to cuddle with daddy and watch Mickey Mouse before bed we had to snap some pictures.
( Precious )
This is also a new activity we've been into lately Seth LOVES playing Playhouse Disney games online. It's actually really great! There are tons of fun educational games to play and Seth has figured out how to play all of them by himself! (translation ... I get a little break when he plays) Anyway, the other night we made his computer a tent and it was a big hit ... it's his favorite thing now! But, how much of a weird-o does he look like? haha ... whatever works for a few minutes of peace and quiet!
Sorry the last few pictures are blurry, they're from my phone ... so not the best quality. I'm hoping that our future holds something picture taking and blog worthy so we can get back to pretending we live fun, exciting lives. All of you blog friends from Texas ... I'm jealous of your outside fun in the sun!

Oh Blah Dee, Oh Blah Dah Life Goes On ...

So, Life has been a little boring for us lately; Or maybe repetitive is a better word. It's been snowing like crazy here and it's so cold we just tend to stay in the house and try and keep warm. Since we haven't really done anything "blog worthy" in a while, I thought I'd just post a few cell phone photos so you can see how "exciting" our life indoors has been lately.

Seth has decided that this is how he should go up the stairs. Yes, it's kind of funny, but so annoying when you're in a hurry.

We've all been sporting really attractive sweat pant looks around the house to stay warm. Seth thinks it's kind of fun to snuggle in bed with mommy and watch a movie! (Thankfully, because it's hard to keep this kid entertained day after day in the house)

Poor Nick! Not like he doesn't have enough to do, but since it's been snowing so much he's been outside shoveling his life away. It seems like once we get it manageable more snow keeps on falling.

He also shovels the sidewalk around the entire building next to our house. The man who owns it is retired and pays nick to do it, but I feel so bad for him when he's out in the cold for hours. Yes, I'm a terrible wife and No I do not help what so ever with the snow removal ...

Seth however DOES help dad out shoveling ...and you can bet he's a big helper out there. And he looks pretty cute all bundled up too!

Look a those red cheeks .... I just want to smooch them all day!

All this freezing indoors business is giving me an excuse to shop online. No, I don't actually buy much, but it's fun to "window surf" and I've come across a few bargains for Seth and little Miss Denzer to be. I just purchased this cute little swim suit for her at the beach this summer .... so fun! :)

Nick got a haircut (yes, this is what I'm resorting to blog about ... we are really just THAT exciting)

The other day Seth and I were driving home from my Dr. appointment when Seth asked me if he could have a cheeseburger for lunch. It was so random. He's never eaten a cheeseburger and the last week or so he really hasn't eaten much at all. Because he hasn't been eating I figured why not? We'll try it. He was serious and ate almost the whole thing. So here is a random picture of Seth eating a cheeseburger. I tried to make it a fun indoor activity by having a lunch picnic on the floor. I just crack myself up with the things I come up with doing to keep this kid entertained!

Well, I hope you enjoy the blurry pictures from my phone. My parents are coming into town for a few days tomorrow so maybe we'll do something a little more exciting.

I hope you are all keeping warm and enjoying the winter!
